Hanna ****

Great film. I don’t usually like the chemical brothers’ music but it worked well here adding extra tension and danger to the action scenes. There may have been too many chase scenes but that is a minor gripe.

Is that stars out of 4 or 5?

My system is out of 4.

Eg. School on Fire 3.5/4.

Only your system is out of 4 :D

And even your system is not always out of 4 :D

The topic title clearly states, 'marks out of 5'!

It is four out of five.

Lord of War (2005) ***

Not a bad film but felt more like a documentary. It was quite thought provoking as to why Nick Cage does what he does and the whole weapon trade thing in general.

I like my system. 5 stars is for fags who require too many options.
And even your system is not always out of 4 :D
It is now. I haven't used anything else for a while...

I only asked because most here use numbers rather than stars.

Well you must now think my ***½ out of **** is very generous for School on Fire?

Cul-de-sac (1966) - 4.5/5

Very funny, amazing cinematography, and Françoise Dorléac  I don't think I'd have enjoyed the film quite so much on DVD, the Blu-ray PQ was such a pleasure to behold.

Scream 4 3/5 Definitely one to chalk up in the better than you'd expect category and a definite improvement on part 3 this entertaining slasher,a very strong 15 indeed, does lose a bit of steam at the end the final setpiece takes place in the most deserted hospital since Halloween 2

Big Lebowski 3.5/5 i do like this film but it's not the all-time great a lot of people believe.

I enjoyed it alright. As a Stallone fan I just bought the BD. But it could've been better.

It's no worse than Running Man and Commando for instance and they're much more loved.

The Haunting (1963) - 3.5/5

Better than I was expecting, and reminded me of The Innocents.

I'd give both of those **½ also (which is admittedly generous for Commando).

Generous? Commando is well known as one of the greatest films ever made. Some Finnish film forums ban you if you rate Commando below 3/5... and even 3/5 gets you a warning.

The Running Man and Commando are great fun, though some way below Arnie's best - 3.5-4/5 from me from memory :D

The Running Man doesn't hold up anymore - when I was younger I used to enjoy watching it on TV, but now I can see how crap it is and the action isn't anywhere near what it should be. Still like laughing at Ahnoldt though :D

Predators - 2/5

A quote on the front cover says, "Finally, the sequel the original deserves"

Bullshit, Predator 2 absolutely owns this garbage.

I know what you mean when you say that, but I never understood people saying that. If they enjoyed the film how can it be terrible?

Did you enjoy Plan 9 from Outer Space?

OK, it ain't that bad, but Mark Lester is a terrible director and the editing is off-the-chart hopeless.

Yet, it's a fun way to kill 90 mins.

Just like 'The Room' is a terrible film, but that's why it's so enjoyable :D
