Less awful than Reckoning...
Hmm ok

But still a 'bad film' right?

Yeah, still mindless drivel in which beefy dudes crash into each other in a disused Eastern European power station.

Like the first one, but set in Europe!

The first one wasn't 'good' but it was better than its sequels.

Rolling Thunder 1.5 stars wow...do you actually like movies :lol:it's not as good as it's reputation suggests..but that rating doesn't make sense to me at least.

I found it hugely disappointing - a cold, emotionless revenge saga that offered a bloody climax and little else. William Devane's performance was about 80% wrong (Tommy Lee Jones fares better in an underwritten role as shotgun).

Elfie Hopkins (2012-UK) **

Olympus Has Fallen (2013-USA) **
Noisy, dumb, and ultra-violent action blockbuster in which the land of the free is rescued by Gerard Butler - all by himself. Let's hope the South Koreans don't see this and balk at how quickly the Americans are ready to sacrifice them for the sake of one man.

A Good Day to Die Hard (USA, 2013) [Flight] – 2/5
Bruce Willis becomes a superman in the worst Die Hard yet. While the original film invested in tense thrills and relative (action adventure) realism, the 5th movie makes him an invincible superhero. The film is flat and unimaginative, thin on storyline even by genre standards, but does come with some spectacular car stunts/crashes in a chase scene that probably took 90% of the film’s budget. Willis’s presence still delivers modest entertainment.

Stoker (USA, 2013) [Cinema] – 4/5
Park Chan-wook’s English language debut is you’d expect from the director – and nothing you’d expect from an Asian director’s first American film. Here’s huge thumbs up to the producers who have not toned down Park’s touch, but instead had him deliver a film that is more challenging, less commercial than many of his Korean movies. The twisted family drama/thriller only stumbles in the beginning where Park’s arthouse direction overshadows characters before they’ve been properly introduced, but the film gets better scene by scene. Again, Park is at his best when building for violent (and sexual) climaxes. The ending is brilliant.

Expendables 2 4.5/10
Like a slightly interesting patterned duvet cover, draped on the coat hanger that is the basic skeleton of what just qualifies to be called a movie. Dolph and JCVD made this watchable

Kentucky Fried Movie 2/5 badly dated late 70's american comedy barely raised a titter...The Fistful Of Yen ETD spoof was ok though way overlong..Evan Kim does a good impersonation of Bruce.

Superman & Superman II - 1/5

We knew they were going to be lame, but my God, just awful. Any criticism that is levelled at Man of Steel, is present in these films to a much greater extent.

Killing Season (2013-USA-Belgium) *

Serbian war criminal John Travolta(!) hunts down retired US army vet Robert DeNiro in revenge motive. Simply awful thriller. Badly acted with an emphasis on torture - if that doesn't make you reach for the sick bag the mawkish conclusion will.
