Blu top.
DVD bottom.
The R2FR is the "old" DVD, not the new SE.
That's why the BD looks so good here.

This is not a recommendation, it's an order.

Twister: R2FR DVD vs US Blu-Ray
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Well someone loves noise redution, as hell pretty much everyones getting into it now I just hope its a fad, as its getting on my nerves. Still I dont think I would avoid a transfer just becuase of it, becuase hell they wont re-do the transfer thats for sure, no matter how much we compain as frankly they dont give a crap what we think.

Actually, this is one of the rare cases where the DVD will look (or feel) better than the BD on a small screen (where the increase in detail is irrelevant).
Blu top.
DVD bottom.
The added grain makes the transfer look more film-like.
