Bugger :(
I heard Ohio was still going on earlier (BBC news) - as they were still counting, and saw on Yahoo that Bush has 254 seats or votes (or whatever) and Kerry has 242 (you need 270 to win).

Latest count from the electoral college says Bush has 254 still, but Kerry is much closer now (252).

Although Ohio is to close to call as they may have to count the provisional votes it's a long shot for Kerry to win here. :(

It wouldn't have made any difference if Kerry won anyway, they're controlled by people higher up in the hierarchy

It was 1 big joke from the begining,
as is the way they vote in america!
why not jujst go on actual votes! it would be far, far better if 100 million vote for Bush and 300 million vote for Kerry Kerry wins!

but the way it is at the moment, 300 million could vote for Kerry and 100 million could vote for Bush and Bush would still win!

How Insane is that system! knobbers!

Yeah, it's really the electoral college system thats' important (bloody close) rather than the popular vote, but the EC is immensely complicated, and maybe not fair (doesnt it depend on how big the state is that how many people are sent there to vote?)

We call him that because it sounds like the way he, as a Texan, will say the middle initial in his name - George "Dubya" [W] Bush. That's basically it Brad, I think :)

Thanks Grim.

I've heard Americans say W that way.
