Yeah, Lethal Weapon, and yeah I know it's from an upconverted master, but as it was cheap...

It's bound to be a step up from my DVD.

Also any re-releases might not be the theatrical version.

I think thats where many people fall down, just becuase its HD does not make it always better than the standard dvd. Esspecially these shit upconvert dodgy jobs.

Enter the Dragon and The Fugative are both worse than the dvds, they look better compression, detail etc.. obviously :)

BUT if you see them evil jaggies/stepping problems the transfers instantly become worthless :( so hopefully you wont see them and then yes they are an upgrade, but if your screen/distance you view/player etc,, combine to create what I see, its painful to sit thu them :(

I would just keep my old dvd (which I have) and say stuff Warner and hope they re-release it and acctually do it right.

I'm not throwing away any of my DVDs until I see the BD for myself and am satisfied.

I didn't mean throw away literally.

Ip Man Blu-Ray is currently at a pre-order price of £11.93 at the hut, however entering the code hut10 before 8am wednesday 5th august makes it £10.74,a very good price for a new release.

They're worth getting to put on eBay.

Some of those are still HD-DVD exclusives: such as "Born On The Fourth Of July", "Ray" and "Spartacus". Their is a re-release of Superman Returns with TrueHD/PCM instead of DD5.1 found on the HD-DVD and original BD.

48p. That's kinda sad actually considering how good a format HD DVD was.

They're bargains. The HD quality will basically be identical too.

BD (region coding aside) always was the the better format.

Maybe now. But Blu Ray was an incomplete format when they were competing.
