I know what you mean when you say that, but I never understood people saying that. If they enjoyed the film how can it be terrible?
Terrible in terms of acting, action, story, cinematography, etc etc.... yet still somehow very entertaining.

Some of the best made movies aren't fun to watch and have hardly any rewatch-value, while mediocre movies can be fun enough to watch multiple times.

Cyclo comes to mind as a movie that's well-made, has good acting, gorgeous cinematography, some brilliant scenes, etc etc... yet as a complete package it's hardly 'entertaining' or something you want to watch a bunch of times.

On the other end, you have movies like In the Line of Duty 4, which has some pretty bad acting, a dumb story, hardly any cinematography to brag about, etc etc, yet it has a nice pacing and it's fun to watch cause of some nice action.

National Lampoon's Animal House 2/5 Nostalgia is about the only thing this legendary frat comedy has left going for it as it's now looking rather dated and unfortunately it's not very funny.

I first saw it when I was about 10 (back in 1990) and didn't find it funny then either... and that was at an age when tits alone were a reason to watch a movie.

Alien VS Predator: Requiem - 3/5

Better than the first AVP, and Predators.

Bride of Chucky - 3/5

The old man visited me last night and pointed out, even at 60 years old, he'd never seen a Chucky movie all the way through. He enjoyed it.

Yes, it is. It's dark, the acting is shit, blah blah. I'm a Predator fan boy, and this one in particular was a fucking badass. Unlike those pussies in the recent film.

It seems people love to hate it. They wanted more blood and gore after the first AVP. And when they got it, they still hated it! :banghead:

Drive (USA, 2011) – 4.5/5
Walter Hill’s The Driver. William Friedkin’s To Live and Die in L.A. Jean Pierre Melville’s Le Cercle Rouge. The kinds of movies they don’t make anymore. Except Nicolas Winding Refn does. The Danish director appears to be an exception to the rule that celebrated European filmmakers always fail with their Hollywood debuts. Drive is the best American crime film in ages. The relatively simple but often stunningly intensive (the opening is amazing) neo noir strongly resembles 1970’s and 1980’s crime cinema but is no rip off – it’s the real deal. No ADHD editing, no trendy CGI action, just a simple mafia story of a Hollywood stunt driver who does driving gigs for criminals at night – and gets involved with the wrong people. Violence is very sparse, but also very strong when it hits. A couple of overly artistic music choices on the otherwise excellent soundtrack are the only flaw.

The producer forced the director to show the demon against his wishes. If this was made now a director's cut without the demon would be no doubt be available.

Isle of the Dead (1945) - 2.5/5

Boris Karloff portrayed a Greek general, yet spoke in his own accent and basically acted like Frankenstein's monster

Keung wrote:Predators - 2/5

A quote on the front cover says, "Finally, the sequel the original deserves". Bullshit, Predator 2 absolutely owns this garbage.
Nah the quote's right. Predators is miles better than Predator 2. The fact the script is from the 1990s helped immensely. Predator is obviously easily still the best though.

I've never bothered with Predator 2 since Ahnoldt's not in it.

The lack of Arnold is a problem but a bigger one is his replacement. Danny Glover! Are you kidding? Good actor but completely miscast. The action is rubbish too, as is the plot. The location is good though.

Predators (like Rambo) feels like a natural progression to what came before. Predator 2 doesn't.
