That's what I was wondering, too. I'd assume everyone has seen at least The Good The Bad The Ugly. If you haven't, you're missing some of the coolest filmmaking mankind has ever come across...saltysam wrote:Wow...one of the top 3 directors ever and hardly anyone has seen his movies

You don't have to be 'into westerns' to enjoy a great movie.gasteropod wrote:That'll be because I'm not into Westerns
Once upon a Time in the West is a fucking classic. Brilliant brilliant movie. Worth watching for the soundtrack alone. Worth watching for the cinematography alone.
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

I love Sergio Leone's work. Wonderful films.
How does the rating work? What do the numbers in brackets and bold writing mean?

Arrrrggghh tough decision.
It has to be TGTBATU as I've seen it more (a classic) but both are excellent.

Re: The Sergio Leone World Cup
since I can't find a more suitable thread...
how was the 5.1 audio on the The Good, The Bad, The Ugly 2 Disc Special Edition DVD? Sound effects redone?
I have that and the old UK disc with original mono, and figured I ought to get rid of one of them cause it's impossible to watch two dvds at the same time

Re: The Sergio Leone World Cup
The gunshots/dialogue are redone on the newer disc, the gunshots sound pish (too powerful) and the dialogue sounded as if it was coming from all 5 speakers IIRC
