Wow this is amazing. Lucas burnt out on SW years back. The last one was 'ok' but I know he took fan backlash to heart, and never got to see a tv series through due to cost of making 'film quality' episodes.

SW was basically dead in the water creatively speaking....til now

Don't know whether this is good or bad.

Could go either way.

A sequel trilogy does sound quite tempting... but then the new film every two or three years might be flogging a dead horse by that time.

As long as George doesn't direct any new film, we may get a new decent Star Wars film... but then, we may also get a completely kid focused pile of trash.

I really don't know what to think.

Can't be worse than Episode 1-3.

Does this mean that maybe finally we'll get original theatrical versions out on BD/DVD?

We'll probably get another Disney TV-series, with simular to Indy Jones Jr.

Also, we'll probably see merchandise of Disney Characters in Star Wars and Indiana Jones gear.

I'm hoping this.

With high profile reboots happening, Disney will know massive IMAX Summer opening type films can rake billions back in over time. A good story is everything though. Thats what Lucas got fundamentally wrong with the prequels.

Disney didn't do so well with John Carter did they? I never even saw that. With Kathleen Kennedy at the helm, Lucasfilm can do really good things. She's an industry legend. Check the resumé http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathleen_K ... _producer)

He was Indy's son. But the fact that you don't remember speaks volumes about the character's (lack of) impact. They need to cast someone more charismatic than Shire LeBeef.
