A Good Day to Die Hard
Likely to be rated R:
This is unexpected news!
Thought the the idea of John + son sounded awful, the trailers haven't been too bad (maybe due to lowered expectations). R-rating would certainly make this more interesting.

Won't be going to see this anymore.
I hope Fox makes lots of cash from the tweenies to justify their selling out of a once seminal franchise.

Ughhhhhhhh...
I have no idea what version we'll be having at our local cinemas. Was going to see it but now I doubt if it is really worth it =/

If I see this at all, it won't be at the cinema. Seeing it hopefully uncut on Blu Ray.

Bullet To The Head,Last Stand-humungous flops and not 12A certs. The traditional action movie is out of vogue at the moment,no matter what the cert is.grim_tales wrote: 12A has killed action cinema

Oh dear: http://twitchfilm.com/2013/02/review-a- ... -hard.html
A Good Day to Die Hard is the shortest entry in the series by almost half an hour, but still manages to do more damage to the Die Hard property in 97 minutes than anything else in its 25-year history. Dumb, crass and tedious when its predecessors were smart, witty and entertaining, A Good Day to Die Hard is far and away the worst of the five films, and even with its R rating restored, struggles to entertain as a piece of disposable action entertainment on even the basest of levels. The film isn't just bad, it's embarrassing, and news that there is more yet to come only gives further cause for concern.

Re: A Good Day to Die Hard
not really a surprise. Willis has lost the plot,he's been lending his name to utter DTV rubbish in recent years and his quality control has gone.anyone who saw his One Show embarrasment last week would realise that.the hack director should've set alarm bells ringing straight away.sounds like a sad end to the series.

I thought part 4 was cold and contrived so comparisons are meaningless to me. Also arguing that the film fails because the character doesn't behave like he did 25 years ago also wont get me tsking and tutting. Anyway ill most likely watch this on rental regardless of reviews

In the parlance of our times.
Seriously I'll wait for a respected critic or journalist who says it's that bad before I take notice.
The wronged-fanboy rebound/backlash review (aka crybaby rant) is a post-journalism thing I just can't take seriously.

I think your reaction to those reviews clearly prove you're anything but objective on this topic, luckystars!

Giving a film a 2 out of 10 because it didn't live up to your expectation is not sound judgement however you want to call it

Giving a film 2/10 because you don't like it is perfectly sound judgement.

2/10? This movie is twice as good as DH4 already.

I disagree.
I didn't like King of Comedy but I wouldn't call it trash. It's actually an above average film.
And I like the Smurfs movie more than Kubricks 2001. I gave the Smurfs movie 10 out of 10, and 2001 a zero.
Will you buy my magazine/book, subscribe to my blog etc for these sort of views?
