Miraculously I did receive the Zatoichi set from B&N (heard some other had had their orders cancelled).

Though quite and adventure it must have been. The box was 6 weeks on its way, had both US and France postal stamps on it, and arrived in such a condition that the Japanese post had attached a written apology and assured it was like that when they recieved it. Obviously someone's been playing football with it.

Zatoichi himself was in one piece, though slightly bruised.

Been there.... although jacked up packaging and cracked boxes I can handle, my biggest fear is the rattlers. That feeling when you get a stack of dvds, and you hear that oh so familiar rattling coming from inside the package, and you just picture what the disc looks like, as you slowly and reluctantly open to check it.....
