Why is nudity, just just a par of boobs, in movies considered harmful to children in many cultures? USA is a good example: even films that just show a naked person taking a shower get rated R for nudity. Why?
Boobs are not scary.
Boobs don't give bad role models.
I struggle to understand why should nudity in movies warrant a rating of any kind. Sure, moral values might be one thing, but that wouldn't be logical because the same moral values should apply to adults as well. Ratings are used to protect children from something harmful, such as violent or sexual scenes, which might give bad role models, twisted ideas of reality, or just make young audiences scared.
I don't see why a child should be forbidden from seeing nudity (in a non-sexual and non-harmful context) in movies if adults are allowed to see it.
Maybe I'm missing something here...

Idiots. Lots and lots of idiots.
If instead of nipples, the women would have a couple of grenades placed there, it would be OK though.

Just imagine if women could fire bullets from their nipples...
That might cause the Republicans real anxiety.
"Guns! But nipples! Guns!! But nipples!!! Arrraggghhh!!!!"

They'd probably insist on introducing a government program to mod every woman in the nation with a bunch of bazookas in their blouse, for self-protection of course...
