Classic film from director Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and GAINAX:-

Wings of Honneamise US Release (08:51 AM EST): Another detail has emerged in the Watch Impress article posted earlier this morning; Wings of Honneamise is also getting a US HD-DVD release in August with a price of $79.99. Some of the phrasing seems to indicate that Bandai Visual USA will be dealing only in HD DVD releases for the US now, which contradicts their press release earlier in the week talking about Blu-ray releases coming later in the year.

Region B. It's the reason i got a us ps3. Still there is still a chance this might be an all-region disc.thelostdragon wrote:Region A? Is this like Region 0 or something only for Asia? To make a long story short:- Import a BD player from either USA or East Asia for the greatest selection.

Nice one Salty and Toge too, cheers. Why does it say "Made in EU" on the cover???
I like the new cover, the old one is better though. It's a definite possibility to be R0, it's a HK release after all.
I'll get this too for sure.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Region A/1 BD - Is America, Canada and the Far East
Region B/2 BD - Is Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Many aren't region coded though. It's a shame you cannot pick up a European/Australian + American BD like we can for DVD but overall importing an American player is better.

What's your source please? I cannot find it for pre-order.saltysam wrote:Internal Affairs Blu-Ray released by megastar on july 9th. looks like it'll be coded region A and it contains english subs.

Nice one thanks Lourdes, that's conclusive enough for me.
A BD-25 should be fine considering they're using AVC not MPEG2, the film is only 97 minutes long with naff all extras. The two DD5.1 tracks could very well be 448Kbps encoded too:

I asked the head of Mega Star at Media Asia a few of your questions regarding their first Blu-ray Disc:
What region code?
He says it will be coded for Region A (North America, Central America, South America, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia).
Will it be BD25 (25 Gigabyte) or BD50 (50 Gigabyte)?
He says it will be BD25 (25 Gigabyte).
What is the next Blu-ray Disc from Mega Star?
He says they haven't decided yet. They are waiting to see how well Infernal Affairs sells because that will determine what is released next. He mentioned some of the titles they are planning to release but I don't want to mention them yet since it's only in the planning stages. I will say they are recent Media Asia productions with international appeal.

No, it'll be coded for Region A. (I don't get why this is so hard for you to process LD. No offense.) Region A encompasses North America, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong. That covers all your bases, you'll get the greatest selection of releases. Think of it as R1,R3 and R2J combined into region.thelostdragon wrote:So an American/Far Eastern player is region free?

Curse of the Golden Flower is coming to HD-DVD in France.
Although it's a BD-exclusive title in the US, CotGF belongs to M6 and Warner over here.
I doubt there'll be english subs, though.

I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".
