Ah good point. Check out the DVD cover then.

Actually I'm sure it was only cut in the cinema. It was before the days of being allowed dual releases so it must only be available uncut.

There is a "15" on the cover of the Mummy set. In that case The Mummy should be an uncut "15", TMR (12) is cut for a headbutt. Scorpion King should be uncut (AFAIK) - checking the bbfc site. Wierdly this was rated 15 also but has been downgraded to 12.

Thanks to Gozomark @ DVD Forums:

http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/show ... p?t=384298

MX2 have lots of bargains for £2.99 or £4.99 a pop (including delivery):

http://www.mx2.co.uk/prodpage.asp?sub=D ... erpage=168

You may find many are out of stock but order anyway and either they'll ship it in a few days or send you an e-mail cancelling the order saying they couldn't source the DVD, it's because they're clearing out a back log not getting new stock in.

You won't be charged until it ships.

Some titles are:

HKL ITLOD4 @ £2.99
Lawrence of Arabia 2 Disc @ £2.99 (fantastic price)
Platoon SE @ £2.99
Being John Malkovich @ £2.99
Run Lola Run @ £2.99 (Great German flick)
Thomas Crown Affair 1999 Remake @ £2.99 (Better than the original)

http://www.cd-wow.us/detail_results_2.p ... code=16203

To get it at this price use the US $2 voucher link and then paste the above link into the same window otherwise it will be $2 more.

You won't find this using the search engine, duff thing as it is.

It's also £7.99 at:

Yeah I know. Korean DVDs are very well made but never seem to go into the bargain bin.

I guess they're solely marketed as high end products.

Hey,

In HMV today I saw Spartacus SE (2 discs) for £4.99 (thats £2 cheaper than Play) and seriously considered picking it up at that price :D

Brad have you seen it?

That's a top price. No I've not seen it but it's supposed to be excellent. I haven't seen many of the classic epics from that era (Gone with the Wind, Ben Hur etc...) but think Lawrence of Arabia is outstanding.

I've been meaning to pick up the new Ben Hur 4 Disc SE.

Personally I'd prefer the Criterion though because the film is on 1 disc. They split it on the UK R2/R4 because of DTS (all have DD5.1).

I don't like films being split across discs just because of DTS (I'd have preferred Titanic SE didn't have DTS and was on 1 disc). Especially in the case of Spartacus it was made in 1960 so DTS is hardly going to add much.

The Criterion is said to have a few more minor extras but really DTS/Splitting the film is the only difference.

p.s - Criterion £16.99 from CD WOW or UK R2 SE £4.99 from HMV you decide.

Not a bargain as such but I've just discovered DVD.co.uk have an Amazon store:

http://s1.amazon.co.uk/exec/varzea/ts/m ... AGE72EQ4I2

Which means you could save cash when buying from DVD.co.uk if you buy from Amazon stores instead.

I bought an e-mail earlier (£2.96 cheaper than buying direct from dvd.co.uk_ and it's definitely the same company; once placed you can even used the standard dvd.co.uk online order checking system.

Any decent ones though? As all the ones I've ever seen are £2 off £10 and the like.

That means I still have to find £10's worth of goods first.
