Most people seem to think that it's so bad and embarrasing that, well, it's just bad. Something about terrible cgi, laughable satanic sluts and so on... On the other hand, someone said that the soundtrack is okay and there's a few good old school gore effects...

I must admit that I'm no fan of Empire magazine, but in Kim Newman's column he reviewed this and his statement was something like :
"Imagine that Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers were followed 20 years later by Hawk the Slayer and you'll know how this trilogy turned out.". Such a shame as Suspiria and Inferno are masterpieces of mood and cinematography IMHO. Admittedly, my favourite is 'Deep Red'.

I'm a huge fan of Argento (was extremely disappointed that I had to miss when he came to London for a screening of this), and even enjoyed some of the more recent stuff ('Do you Like Hitchcock' for example), but this sounds absolutely awful !

I appreciate that there are a few people on bullets who aren't fans of Argento ! ;) :D

No wonder I couldn't see this thread... it's in the wrong forum!! ;)

It's impossible to tell a movie from a trailer... I thought it looked intriguing. Mind you The Card Player is the only Argento movie I've liked since Trauma so my expectations are kept at a minimum.

I preferred Suspiria to Inferno, myself, though my taste tends toward Giallo (Tenebrae being my favourite) rather than fantasy-horror.

Sam, did you watch the rip? Opinion, please...
