Thanks Eva.
Is "Grave of the Fireflies" NTSC to PAL? That's a great price, especially as it's the 2 Disc version.
Are any of the others must buys? Except for Spirited Away (which I think is NTSC to PAL).

I'm not sure, but it most likely is though.bradavon wrote:"Is Grave of the Fireflies" NTSC to PAL?
From what I've been told:-Are any of the others must buys? Except for Spirited Away (which I think is NTSC to PAL).
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (CONVERSION)
Princess Mononoke (CONVERSION)
Laputa - Castle in the Sky (CONVERSION)
Whisper of the Heart (DEFINITELY native PAL)
I'd try to source the latter three on R1 DVD.
One R2UK that you may want to pick up is Only Yesterday (from director Takahata), a film that Buena Vista refuses to release on R1 DVD + the R2UK is native PAL.

Thanks Eva.
I used to own Spirited Away R4 and the NTSC to PAL was woeful so I am not keen to pick up Grave of the Fireflies if it too is NTSC to PAL. I hope not as that is a great price. The only review I can find is at Dragons Den and as we all know the DVD section of their review is a complete waste of time.
Are most of the Optimum Ghibili DVDs NTSC to PAL?
