Sony PSP/Vita - advice needed

Hey,
I'm really into mystery games and VN's at the moment and so I wanted to check out Danganronpa. I've played 999 on DS (and the 3DS sequel) which were amazing.

I think Danganronpa recently got a fan translation (for PSP) and there's a remake coming for Vita but I dont want to spend too much money to play maybe just a handful of games (I've always been a Nintendo person TBH)
There seem to be lots of different PSP models and I'm rather confused about which to get.
Of course I could just 'watch' it on Youtube (much cheaper)

You're much better off just getting a 3DS. Vita has been out for like 2 years and it still has barely a dozen worthwhile games, seriously. Unless you can pick one up for dirt cheap.
