Have never seen Tai Chi 2 but is supposedly decent. Wing Chun is OK, not great, and Iron Monkey I already have and like, but didnt have the platinum yet so buying it for the extras...

And I always thought you couldn't give a shit about extras.

I do, but the first thing I look for in a movie is if the main feature is OK.
If a movie is cut and dubbed, I wont buy it even if it has cool extras, UNLESS it is very cheap to warrant paying for the extras alone. I bought the PA Ong-Bak just for the subtitled Making Off, and other extras, because it was now only 6 pounds orso. So well worth the money. But I didnt buy it for the movie, cause I'll use a bootleg to watch it, due to the new soundtrack PA has given it.

Have you listened to the new soundtrack? If you have switched it off half-way through, I recommend watching the final fight. The music is really great and not to mention that Prachya Pinkaew has approved the new OST and he prefers it himself.

Oh and the scene where Humlae dies is nicely scored, too.

I only checked the market chase scene with the new music and it totally didnt work for me anymore. Then I tried watching the movie with just Bey's commentary, but as he was going on about how the new music is so much better then the old music, he just annoyed me, so I turned it off. Now I just watch my bootleg DVD when I wanna watch the movie.

Speaking of ordering: I'll probably get Banlieu 13 and Muscle Heat tomorrow orso. Both are supposedly very entertaining action flicks, so should be fun.
I'm interested into seeing the 'parkour' in Banlieu, cause it's just Jackie Chan style, making use of the environment, only you GO somewhere.
I was pretty much doing alot of the stuff they do before it was known as 'parkour'. I always used the 3 step wallclimb to get on the roof of the school to get the ball, and whenever I want to sit on top of the goal, I use the 3 step, but it's against the fence and goal, so climbing a corner. My neighbour kid would also do that move Jet Li did in Romeo Must Die, where he grabs a guy's side and make a cartwheel he did that to me when we arrived in HK. We also used to just hop and skip on everything on our way to the shop or to the footballfield

The RC3 HK Disc from Panorama. At first I´d wanted to buy the German Disc, but it´s been cropped to 16:9 as far as I know.

Yeah that cropping sucks. I'd like to get it, but I also wanna have the German soundtrack so I'm kinda stuck and I am now hoping for a re-release. Maybe a special edition or so.

Often times I prefer to watch popcorn films that are pure entertainment in my native language. If it is in English it requires extra attention by me. Not a lot, but a film that I like to watch just to switch off my brain and look at it is more likely to be watched in German by me.

I also think of family members and friends who all watch movies in German dubbing. As I always tell you guys here, German dubbing is the most professional in the world.

There are only very rare occasions I bother to watch an Asian film in German, though. I feel that it is something else with Asian films. The German voices do not match the Asian faces.

I was very surprised by Jet´s good acting and I´m happy I didn´t miss the original soundtrack.

I agree with you Dragonhero, I thought Jet did very well too Have you seen my review of Unleashed (DTD) in the Reviews forum?
Its only after watching the film I realised that Morgan Freeman has to test food that way, tapping it and feeling it and stuff, because he is blind. He doesn't do it just for fun

DTD is really just an entertainment flick to me. It doesn't have any profound message, but it has awesome fights and Jet does some good acting. That's it to me. The girl went on my nerves.

I agree LD, DTD is really a popcorn film. Nowt wrong with that.
Though I havent seen the original (ie titled Danny The Dog). How does it differ from Unleashed? Is it much better?

Huh? To my knowledge there aren't different cuts of this film out there.
