I saw this on the first page of this thread:
My Sassy Girl: HD-DVD
Note: no english subtitles.
Anyone has any more info like when will it be released?

Welcome to the forum.
I presume you can understand Korean or Japanese? All I can suggest is you PM Tom (his username is tom2681). I've no idea where he got that information from.

I remember reading about a wave of korean titles being released on HD-DVD in Japan back in late 2006.
Since none of them had english subs, I never bothered to check on them again.
Will try to find out more about it...
EDIT:
Volcano High's still available (found it on YesAsia).
No trace of the Sassy Girl, though.
Maybe they cancelled it. Will remove it from the list.
Sorry, Darklight.
*Added UK release of Kung-Fu Hustle to the list*

What the fuck is Tai Seng doing ?
I thought they'd gone Blu... and now they're going Red as well.
Make your choice, you idiots.
Don't encourage this stupid format war !

Dual Format is the logic step. Considering neither format is going anywhere any time soon (does anyone any more realistically think one will?) it makes sense, and then suits everyone.
A rep for the company tells us that they are currently "testing the waters" for both formats individually with these two releases.
It's an interesting idea but not exactly accurate when they release two different films. Everyone seems to think "Dragon Tiger Gate" is much better to "Initial D" so that would mean Tai Seng is likely to pick HD-DVD.

both movies are pretty average.can't see either selling bucketloads tbh.if i had to choose one i'd go for Tiger Gate .

Q. Is the HD of FEARLESS available in the UK the same as the dubtitled US DVD release?
I currently own the UK DVD which is subtitled.

The USA DVD has dubtitles? Is it only the USA DVD with subtitles?
I'd imagine the UK HD-DVD mimics the UK DVD but could be wrong. As it's cut I've not looked.

*Drum roll*
After Tai Seng, Megastar and Deltamac, it's now Universe's turn to go HD.
I know China has gone with HD-DVD, but it seems Hong-Kong is turning Blu.
Invisible Target is coming:

I thought the Mainland was using CHD-DVD or something like that. A low cost HD-DVD alternative.
Pity except for Infernal Affairs they all look pants. Is "Invisible Target" any good? I never get to excited if Nicholas Tse is in a film.

I wonder if we'll see Tai Chi Master & Fong Sai Yuk horribly released on blu-ray too.

@Brad:
IMO, Invisible Target is an OK film.
Nothing special, though.

I haven't seen it, but the director is Benny Chan. He's pretty lousy, so I wouldn't bother seeing it outside of a cheap DVD.

There's guys.
There's been to many "okay" HK films lately.

Uh, what? Did you mean "Thanks guys"?

QFT.
The Korean cinema boom looks to have died down too. All those numerous comedies and melodramas don't excite me at all.

LOL oops yes "Thanks Guys". What does QFT mean?

It can mean either "Quit Fucking Talking" or "Quite Fucking True".
I'm betting on the latter in this case.

It looks like a decent release. It's good they've also included DTS-HD MA for those who find the PCM to Bass heavy.
