Went to Thorpe Park yesterday which was pretty good
Sampled the rollercaster "Stealth" which goes REALLY fast then a steep drop with sharp turns/loops. Its over pretty quick though.

X:/No Way Out (a coaster that goes backwards and in the dark) was pretty cool too, as was Ramesee's Inferno (sp?)
The "Samurai" ride (a swirly thing that goes round/upside down etc) made me nauseous

Last night, got back from the company conference, it was an interesting 3 days. We was at the Marriot Hotel in Chicester. Very nice, my rooms was beautiful, the conference was Support/Development conference.

For our next s/ware we was going to developer a link between an EPOS system. Had a bit of fun on EPOS, also was shown how PHP::SOAP works when community between 2 databases, an offiline db with an online DB. That was interesting, but i really liked AJAX presentation. AJAX is used in Google Mail as well as Yahoo, and it is very very good. It certainly an inprovement, and no doubt will become popular in the future

Just arrived in Tokyo. Absolutely shattered. I have a laptop with me + internet connection point in my room. Might get some photos uploaded later.

The time here is 1:30pm but my body thinks it's 5:30am (I've yet to get any sleep). Oh dear.

Went bowling last night and scored 120 8)
Unfortunately that wasnt enough to win (some guy scored 150)

man fucking routers suck, im totally fed up of the shit im having with them... managed to get it up and running on moms laptop, then she exchanged it and i cant do it again, i only did it by accident last time, i cant download fuck all with this piece of shit, and im being bollocked to set up moms laptop to wireless and download shit for her but i cant do both, getting the whole "well then i might aswell not have this laptop"
now im trying to set up noip.com so i can get my clients working, and well they just dont have any help thing, so im compelelty lost and pissed off

Come on Grim. You must have some movies lying around or games to play. Or go outside to mee up witha friend to play some footy or something. I know it sucks to not get a job, but sadly, that's life. One of these days I have to start going for interviews as well, since I just finished school, so I'm kinda NOT looking forward to it either. It just plain sucks to have to be dependent on other people's perception of you and your abilities... especially when they're wrong.

But at this moment, you have a lot of spare time on your hands, so just treat it as a bit of vacation and try to do some nice stuff to keep you entertained and through the days. In a few weeks/months you'll have a steady job and you'll be longing for those days where you can just do absolutely NOTHING at all... So use these days now that you have them.

man, really really annoyed today, my brother stole money from my wallet. i left it on the desk after ordering ROTK last night, he came over today and suddenly the money that was in it, is gone...my own home i should be able to leve my wallet about without worrying that money will be nicked...ok its only £5 but thats really nto the point, that £5 was to last me until tuesday/wedensday when i got paid again.. im so mad at him. since he's the only one who could have done it, he's doe it before too we could just never prove it.

yeah i really feel like it right now, but again we have no full evidence, justthe fact that my sister couldnt have done it since my mom was with er at the pc, only my bro was there, but thats not concrete evidence...bastard. mom is gonna give me some more money but she realy shouldnt have too...

Yesterday I basked in the glory of being the new DVD Mystere champ.

Obviously affected by the great impact that has had on my life, I today FAILED my theory-driving-exam...
There were 50 questions, you had to have at least 44 correct answers... and I had 43 correct answers.

The saddest part is that I KNEW I had made the mistakes, at the moment I made them, but didnt have enough time to correct them (every question has a time-limit) so that sucked. I already knew before we got the results I had 6-7 faults...

Ah well... it sucks but I'm pretty confident that next time I wont be making the same silly mistakes. I had about 4-5 mistakes where I realized them, but just couldnt change them anymore, so it was just a question of bad focus along with too little time...

That sucks (every question with a time limit). In England, we have about 40 minutes (IIRC) to do the multiple choice part of the theory test. We can take as much time as we want on the questions within that time. We can also go back and change them within that time limit. So I guess the UK is not as strict as other countries in the theory test.

So, basically you can pass your theory test with 6 mistakes in Holland ?

It's 5 in France.
Most people fail that test 4 or 5 times before getting it right.

We've got a 30-second limit per question over here too.

Not sure about the strictnes spart, cause maybe Dutch traffic rules are simpler (although I HIGHLY doubt it, considering we have pretty much rules for EVERYTHINGgggggggggggggg*)

On the one hand, it sucks so bad cause I know I could and should have had those dumb mistakes right. If I would have had a couple more seconds on each question, I would have passed, no doubt. There were only 1 or 2 question I really didnt know the answer to, but the other mistakes were just lack of focus, slowness on my part correcting it...

But on the other hand, I feel OK because I know in my heart that the test wasnt really that hard, so next time there's no way I'll fail it if I'm sharp enough to pay better attention.

Also, since all the questions are ona TV screen, I'm gonna ask if next time I can have a better spot, cause this time I occasionally had a hard time seeing what was on the screen, when it was about hardened and non-hardened roads... hard to tell the difference on a few pictures... which took me time to make out, so less them to really think the answer through...

Damn... I'll have to pay 30 euro to take the test again :N

i took a pratice theory test at 13...i passed tho i have no clue how to drive, the theory was mega easy...

I took the theory test twice and failed both times.

I wasn't even close.

OK I almost died today...

Well maybe not died, but I could have been in an accident.

I had driving lessons today. So when those were over, we went to pick up the next student, so she had to drive me home.

It was an older woman, about 50-50 orso, and this was her second lesson. Well... let's just say some people clearly arent meant to drive. She had no feeling for steering whatsover, so the amount of cars or bicycles we nearly hit , was incredible...
I could sit back and enjoy it, cause hey, it aint my car , but man, it's both really fun and frightening at the same time to miss people and cars and everything else you could possibly hit, by just a few inches...

I remember my 5th lesson. Getting used to the clutch, changing gears by myself, etc...
We went to pick up the next student who was supposed to drive me home. Cute girl, early 20's, very intelligent-looking, 20th lesson...
She'd do a 45° right turn everytime she changed gears !
It was up to the tutor to grab the steering-wheel and put the car back on the road.

It was terrifying !
