The R4's, cuz they were the cheapest. It was a mistake in retrospect, since later on I found out that the R2/4's of original cuts are NTSC>PAL. I can't be bothered selling them now and buying the R1s.grim_tales wrote:Eva did you buy the Star Wars R1's or R4's?
The R4's weren't in Profiler so I've added them.

Sweet, looks like all the menus are in English too. Shame about em being 1.78:1 tilt&scan though.
Wicked City - w/ English subs. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

Is that the live action or anime? If its the latter, I really enjoyed it, it a pretty good film, if it the live action, then tell us what you thought about it, as I never seen itEvaUnit02 wrote:Wicked City - w/ English subs. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

You mean the R1's = NTSC - Better than PAL?EvaUnit02 wrote:The R4's, cuz they were the cheapest. Did you watch in progressive scan though? That's when the faults of NTSC>PAL conversions are noticeable. It doesn't bother me anyway, since I can only watch these interlaced anyway (everything is forced into 16:9 in prog scan mode on my telly; 16:9 zoom only available on interlaced modes). There's mild blurring on the noticeable from time to time anyway, the laserdisc masters had a shit load of DVNR applied when they were remastered in 1993. Laserdisc was a composite medium, unlike DVD which is natively in component.grim_tales wrote:You mean the R1's = NTSC - Better than PAL?EvaUnit02 wrote:The R4's, cuz they were the cheapest.
