A new version of Wii with DVD capability will be released in 2007.
Should I wait for this or not bother

hmmm, its kinda up to you i supose, i have 2 dvd players and a 1 player/writer on my pc, so when i found out there wasn't dvd playback on the Wii, i wasn't bothered at all really.

i remember nintendo saying they scrapped the dvd on the wii as they said most people have 1+ in there homes already, so it could be a pointless add on.

I'll probably just get the Wii as it stands now, I have 2 DVD players in my house ATM anyway..

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves (200+ minigames)
Mario Party 8
Excite Truck (already released in Japan and the US)
Wing Island

Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Battalion Wars 2

From that list only a few sound interesting to me, personally. (Metroid 3, maybe Mario and DQswords).
I guess the Wii just isnt the console for me...

I'm looking forward to Super Paper Mario too, originally I think this was going to be a Cube game and now its switched to Wii.

yeah super paper mario was for cube, now its on Wii.

Paper mario 2 is an awsome game on cube, full of strange quirky humour thanks to luigi. Hopefully nintendo will put mario RPG from the snes and paper mario 1 (N64) on the VC.

oh speaking of gamecube games, just been to my local game, they seem to have had a large intake of GC games, so looks like nintendo are re-shipping out gc titles, no peripherals though.

body harvest from so fricking awsome, a semi pre-cursor to the 3d GTA games, although going into dull houses speaking to muppets annoyed me alot, but a great game,, although the graphics were total pap!
A great game to remake i think, but DMA aren't around anymore though, changed into some company called rockstar, pah! never heard of them

hey Ld your now registered on my wii, tried sending you a Jackie chan mii to test see if it works, did it?

The Japanese are the luckiest people alive. Not only do they all have a nice tanned skincolor and black hair, AND they have the prettiest women in the world, but they also happen to have the coolest gadgets, toys, manga's, artbooks, etc etc etc...

where the hell did that channel come from eh!, when my wii was flashing i thought it was going be some weird nintendo valentine thing (like the invite to bowser and peaches wedding doing the rounds promoting superpaper mario)

its bonkers, a strewed marketing move though, a cheap way to get feedback suppose.

Important though

You can suggest you own questions that they might use so i beg all PAL wii owners to to submit the question

'Would PAL wii owners prefer NTSC virtual console games for download'

this could be the best way to get nintendo to do something about it

Sonic and The Secret Rings is really impressive. Anyone who's a fan of the Sonic games (and, obviously, has a Wii

Hey,

Read on Gamecentral today that the "Will GoldenEye ever appear again?" question has been raised again. Apparently there is a statement on Rare's website saying "it's possible" it may appear on X Box Live, or the Wii, or both. But, as I've said before, Rare, Microsoft, Nintendo and Activision will have to reach an agreement over it.

That said, I've looked at Rare's site - www.rareware.com, and can't find any mention of it.

i personally don't think it will appear for a very long time, if at all.
the chances of it appearing on the Wii are slim but the chance of it being on the xbox, are even slimmer. didn't nintendo help with the development of the game (ie. mario club), plus the development tools nintendo gave to Rare.
