Cool

I'm sure there are also lots of comics from back then, still using the phrase 'gay' as happy ...
'What are you so gay about, Robin?'

From actual comics:-
This site is fucking awesome!
http://www.superdickery.com/galleries.html
A sample:-

"Ponder, if you will, how happy Robin seems to be to see Batman so threatened by the thought of heterosexual marriage.
Now, just to watch your mind shift gears without the clutch, notice Robin doesn't seem to be wearing pants."

My brother showed me that site a few months back. The 'Boner' gag and the one with the 'doomed touch' were very funny. Another panel I liked, just as an example of a difference of mentality between now and back then, is this one:

You decide if it belongs in the funny-thread or not. Although it is a normal report about police women, I had to laugh.

my mom e-mailed me this:
-----------------------------------------------
George: Condi! Nice to see you. What's happening?
Condi: Sir, I have the report here about the new leader of China.
George: Great. Lay it on me.
Condi: Hu is the new leader of China.
George: That's what I want to know.
Condi: That's what I'm telling you.
George: That's what I'm asking you. Who is the new leader of China?
Condi: Yes.
George: I mean the fellow's name.
Condi: Hu.
George: The guy in China.
Condi: Hu.
George: The new leader of China.
Condi: Hu.
George: The Chinaman!
Condi: Hu is leading China.
George: Now whaddya' asking me for?
Condi: I'm telling you Hu is leading China.
George: Well, I'm asking you. Who is leading China?
Condi: That's the man's name.
George: That's who's name?
Condi: Yes.
George: Will you or will you not tell me the name of the new leader of China?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir? Yassir Arafat is in China? I thought he was in the Middle East.
Condi: That's correct.
George: Then who is in China?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir is in China?
Condi: No, sir.
George: Then who is?
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Yassir?
Condi: No, sir.
George: Look, Condi. I need to know the name of the new leader of China. Get me the Secretary General of the U.N. on the phone.
Condi: Kofi?
George: No, thanks.
Condi: You want Kofi?
George: No.
Condi: You don't want Kofi.
George: No. But now that you mention it, I could use a glass of milk. And then get me the U.N.
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: Not Yassir! The guy at the U.N.
Condi: Kofi?
George: Milk! Will you please make the call?
Condi: And call who?
George: Who is the guy at the U.N?
Condi: Hu is the guy in China.
George: Will you stay out of China?!
Condi: Yes, sir.
George: And stay out of the Middle East! Just get me the guy at the U.N.
Condi: Kofi.
George: All right! With cream and two sugars. Now get on the phone.

Dave rings his boss at work one day to say, "Look, I'm really sorry, but I can't make it into work. I'm sick." "Sick?" yells his boss. "Sick?! This is the twelfth time this month, Dave. Just how sick are you?" "Well," replies Dave. "I'm in bed with my 12-year-old sister."

Tasteful, I know, but I had to share after someone at work told me it.
I was also told another joke, but I fear that it pushes the boundaries a little too far and could genuinely upset parents. Mind you, the guy that told it to me is a dad himself, but maybe he's at that stage where you begin to wonder why you have kids in the first place

Well you have to tell it now.

Only before I get parental consent, as it were. All the parents on the board have to tell me that they will skip past the gag. I'd rather them not think worse than they already do of me
It's a little wrong.

PM me with it and I'll give you my opinion as to whether it's too strong.

Yeah, cos you're obviously a great barometer for what the average parent thinks
