At the start I liked Andy, then went off as I found him rather boring. Maria/Brenda became my faves (like you) and I was gutted when they went
I liked JS too but not when they shouted, they really sounded like a pub rock act then.
Even though he was never going to win, I liked Chico from the start, very entertaining
Andy has been better in the final IMO.

I disagree about Simon's comment to Shayne BTW - OTR "the best performance of the whole series" - WTF?! Thats' ludicrous and that toadying highlighted the fact they wanted him to win from Day One. What's Simon been smoking?
The ridiculous falsetto killed OTR and even without it, there was no emotion in what he was singing. :shock:

Also, didnt the winners song sound to you as if it had been written with Shayne's vocal range in mind? So he can sit and mime on a stool, and get up off his stool when there is a key change.

To be honest, i wanted Andy or Journey South to win. Shane is a good singer, but i felt that Andy or Journey South sung a bit better in the finals. I agree with Mark, Brenda should have been in the final as well, but who would be out of there, instead of her... I reckon it should have been Shane. But he seems to be a hit with the girls....

Shayne was good but not the best IMO.

Louis must be well pleased - in Shayne, he now has a solo version of Westlife.

The version of OTR that Shayne did was actually by Sam Harris - he won a talent show in the States a few years ago (I think), so basically all Shayne was doing was taking a lesser known version, and then the judges can say he made the song his own

Anyone seen the Thats' My Goal video yet?

What utter mince :x Cheaply shot video interspersed with clips of Shayne going through X Factor, and ends with him winning it. The wierd thing is I don't find the song "bad" now, its just really bland and inoffensive. And thats' the problem.
This guy is supposed to have the X factor but he does not IMO, whereas someone like Brenda or even Chico (yes Chico, imagine what he would have done!) would have made it fun.
