Nahh I never kept the origanal Blu Ray, I thought an upgrade would be released in time for the new film and blow it away, so sold it ages ago (haha how silly was I). I have the standard UK dvd, it will have to do for now.

Rodriguez is just too busy with 50 other projects :D but he seems to have had big input in the entire film from beginning to end, very hands on. The newer trailer is nice.

Still Trailers shmalers, I will see for myself Friday hopefully :)

They'll be whatever cut the UK has got already. Why would it be any other way? Unless it things the BBFC now allows and that isn't the case here, right?

Yes they can put out the uncut version if they want to. Big "If", but it may well be cheaper to put out the uncut versions anyway, so they can just port over what the americans get.

All that was cut from them films was stuff to lower the ratings anyway, the 130 cuts made to LW4 were just to edits the film from an 18 to a 15, to make more cash.

Good point but I guess it depends if they can be bothered to re-submit them.

Well as the UK Warner discs of Prince Of Thieves,Above The Law & Tango & Cash are uncut unlike the dvds i'd say there's a strong chance these will be uncensored.

Warners mostly just port their USA materials so I'd say there's a good chance of them being uncut here.

I already have the first two so I hope they put out 3 and 4 seperately.

Beware possibility of Warners using the "director's cuts".

I'm amazed they got away with that. They should've called them Extended Cut's here.

They released the theatrical version of LW1 on BD though.
I think LW2 would be uncut these days with the 18 certificate.

WOW! I can see the 3 Disc release being expensive. I'd probably get the 2 Disc one and the Hearts of Darkness DVD separately (which is pretty cheap).

I wonder how Paramount managed to lose the rights? My DVD SE is a Paramount release. I've still not got around to seeing Apocalypse Now, loving the Redux version in the cinema.

For the extra few quid i'll probably go for the three disc version.don't normally bother with extras but i hear Heart Of Darkness is excellent. What with this,Alien,Back To The Future October is looking good for BD releases.

I can see it being loads more though. It stinks of Limited Edition! I love Apocalypse Now Redux but I wouldn't rush to upgrade. It's a long film without too much re-watch value. Like the Godfather Trilogy.

Seven is coming in October too. I know you've already got that one. Battle Royale is coming too. They seem to be delaying everything for then.

Fucking great pre-christmas(!) line up!!

I'll be all over the Alien set, Apocalypse Now (what ever the best UK edition is) and Se7en.

Robocop trilogy a nono for me. Only interested in the first film.

Is the current Robocop Blu 'definitive'?? :icon_suspect:

Its missing all the DVD extras (if you just mean Robocop). Its the only one I want, not the sequels.

Not only is it missing all the extras but the image is subpar to the 20th anniversary DVD.

Maybe Groundhog Day will come later this year on BD - according to the BBFC some stuff has been classified this year (and also in 2009):
