I've been considering getting it but am worried it's plastic pop. Not that I dislike Girls Aloud but I wouldn't buy their songs.

I'm no fan, but I'd rather listen to Girls Aloud than either Black Eyed Pees or, especially, Pussycat Dolls, both of whom are dreadful. Be honest: if this Nicole was as ugly as, say, Brad, would you still buy their music? I think not. Buy a poster instead and spare your ears.

I can't talk for Iron Monkey and as I've not bought any PCD I can't talk for them either but the BEPs yes definitely.

Fergie is hot but if she was butt ugly she and the rest of the band would still be talented.

actually i really like C&C's sound, and thanks very much but i am not a "net nerd" it sure as hell beats the tits and ass wailing style thats constantly shown on mtv, and numerous other shows

i have alot of music likes, from C&C to Elvis to Daniel Beddingfield, and even other lanaguage singers like Seeed and Nic Tse but i just hate the mainstream stuff, with the exception of a few.

and actually C&C songs are pretty cool, if you take the time to listen to them the songs are written in the form of a Sci-fi fantasy strip that plays on in each song, which is why many dont make sense on the first listen, i bet that the template pop people dont have the intelligence to even attempt that, they'd rather sing about their humps and how they got high or laid and how to be a size 4 :\

and the sex seels stuff is awful for kids, my niece is 9yrs old, and already afriad of being fat, she doesnt want to play with dolls or on her bike...she'd rather have a Cell Phone and Make Up. and thats ok in today sick society. and they wonder why 13yr olds are becoming parents... looks at your media people the answers right there.

the media are evil it is true, 13 year olds shouldnt be worrying about their looks and dressing like slappers. Unfortunately I think the majority are still many 100s of years away from totally giving up on natural selection through looks so this problem wil l continue to exist in our lifetimes.

Yeah, but Brad thinks it's harmless...

I'm 29 now, but back when I was 11-12 we also already had some girls more busy with make-up, music, boys etc then they were about dolls and toys etc. Some girls, usually with older siblings, are usually acting mature earlier then other kids that age. It's pretty normal.
It's the parent's task to guide them, so they always make the wise decision. That doesnt mean banning music videoclips, but just inserting values into the kids. Respect, selfrespect, decensy, honesty, etc etc.

People/parents always shout 'think of the children!' when they see something they dont like on tv. Well, fuck that. if your kids are so heavily influenced by it that they become rotten kids, you've failed as a parent. Simple as that. If a TV has more influence on your kid then all those years as being a parent to them has had on them, then clearly you have done something wrong.

It probably doesnt help when 'dads' see a naked chick on TV and get excited and make horny remarks about her, and then are surprised when their daughters act the same way to get attention from boys... but that isnt the fault of the TV screen, but of the example of 'male-behaviour' given to them by their dad.

Brad I know what you mean but IMO the PCD singer is oversexualising herself a bit (being a 23 year old guy did you expect me to say that?) At the start she sings "Always been the same since I've been in 7th grade.." - if I have my maths right that means a girl is 11 years old then (Year 7 in Secondary School over here), so she says guys were trying to cop a feel of her when she was just 11 years old? Isnt that a bit freaky?

sorry but i throughly disagree...

speaking from my own expereince i have 2 sisters and 3 brothers, and my parents were the best you could ask for, hell i could read by the time i was 3 they tuaght us that well, yet one of my sisters was running away from home at 13/14, drinking having sex, she got pregnant at 16. she now has 3 kids and the other has 4, my brothers well they are pretty much the same. and yeti turned out different, i went to college i passed high school etc...my siblings misgivings were NOT my parents fault, we were taught, respect for ourselves and for others, to be honest and everything so obviosuly my parents failed by the fact that my sisters smoke weed and each of their kids has a different dad, that my eldest brother cant hold down a job for more than a week and that none of them give a damn about anyone but themselves...my answer...bollocks.

i obviously have older siblings but i have never been interested in make-up and boys...but i did act far more mature than kids my age simply becuase i had to grow up with a very sick father and other stuff that accelerated my maturity.

of course some parents dont give a damn and thats hwy the kids are the way they are but its not always the parents fault.

Sorry to hear that Shen, but you say you are the youngest, so ofcourse seeing your older siblings act this way would have an influence on you as well, which probably made you not want to do the same to your parents as they did, and you saw their mistakes. Like you said, you had to grow up early and show responsibility. Maybe your older siblings didnt grow up like that?

my siblings grew up in the same envioronment as me, th only one i can account for is that they have a different father to me, and the eldest brother was badly treated by him, however, the otehrs were treated like little royalties, and once my mom married my dad we were all treated with great love and importantly respect for who we were, but we were disciplined too (you couldnt get away with much, one of your siblings was bound ot tell tales on you lol), i mean we werent spoiled, i mean with 6 kids you cant really afford to give them everything they want lol

but then yeah i did grow up differently to them for various reasons, but in essence we were all taught and treated the same values

sorry if i sound like a pretentious little brat who flares up too easily lol i just learnt to stick up for what i believe in...trust m if you ever met me in real life im amazingly shy, lol i dont even speak to my parents much

Well, my Norton Anit-Virus found it... but can't repait or delete it (bloody useless).

I tried removing all my cookies and IE5 temp files; I turned off system restore and rebooted.
