No way. It's not even in the same league as Unforgiven. It's offbeat and interesting but I seriously think you're overestimating its worth.

Not in my opinion. It got rave reviews.

I know it got mostly positive reviews... what i'm saying is that I don't think it's in the same league as Unforgiven. That's just my opinion. Maybe Luckystars will love it as much as you do?

It is as an acquired taste as films ever come, no way is it even close to mainstream, or normal in any way. A totally off putting film for starters in the nastieness of its look and charecters, its a vile film in so many ways.

Still it is just a good film, no more.

It's supposed to look grimy. It's set in the Australian outback, during the period when the Europeans first arrived. It makes it a better film IMO.

Indeed, but Joe Average doesnt want that. They want CGI and mak-uped faces like in Australia, which they did not anyway as it flopped

The amount of money a film makes at the box office, literally has to be the WORST scale for the quality of a film.

Not at all. Some of the best films of all time made shitloads

I already ow that. It's one fantastic French thriller, that keeps you guessing. The plot is nice and complicated.

Haha I remember borrowing that off a friend years ago, the dub was rubbish. I personally think you'd be better off going for the Manga DVD (re-release with no audio synch problems) of the original version, that's what I'm sticking with.

Actually, I forgot the original version is included on that Blu-ray so I guess there's no need for you to avoid it after all, I presume it's the same quality as the DVD.

Lady in the Water - Dear god what an utter mess. What on earth was he thinking? The premise was fine but the handling atrocious.

The Last Airbender looks rubbish too. I'll probably give The Happening ago. It got really poor reviews, so I never bothered.
