Great price thanks Romero. Still 10p cheaper for me at Sendit (£17.89). I can't be done with cash back deals like Quidco and I'm not cancelling my order over £1.89 anyway.

What, Matrix is a trilogy ? First time I heard it. I thought the directors died in a car crash right after the first movie release. That would have helped their legacy more than releasing part 2 & 3.

Hey I always thought the same about Quidco etc.. never even trusted them, then I took the chance and thought hell why now

gave it a try and so far have got 12 quid in about a month and a bit!!!!!! it takes no time setting up, or using, its just like a place for your bookmarks really. Simple and free cash, well worth a few seconds use.

When you can get 10% off at many places, its well worth using

I've gotten over £500 nack with Quidco in the last year. There are other things like rpoints and the like but I'll leave that nonsense to the horrible penny pinchers of MonySavingExpert. Quidco is nice and simple, click the link and then wait for them to pay you via BACS.
For me the best thing is that it makes YesAsia viable for my R2J orders, 10% off on top of free shipping and no customs.

Good news about the Studio Canal Terminator 2 HD-DVD (same one put out by Momentum in the UK and all over Europe by whomever).

Audio
Previous Studio Canal releases have suffered from audio speedup and the associated change of pitch that has affected all PAL film releases. Thankfully, this trend hasn't continued with Terminator 2 and we have a pitch perfect reproduction of the soundtrack for the first time on a home video format in the UK. The main track provided is a DTS-HD

51GB HD-DVD single-sided triple-layer disc standard approved.

The DVD Forum, the international DVD standards authority, has approved a 51 GB single-sided triple-layer HD DVD disc for production. Extension to the HD DVD standard, which was submitted by Toshiba in April, received approval on 31 August 2007. Other recent developments include:

* A single-sided triple-layer HD DVD/DVD hybrid (combi) disc, the DVD layer of which would be playable by legacy DVD players, is expected to be approved before the year end.

Sweet. Hopefully existing players just need a firmware upgrade. It would certainly help with HD-DVDs space issues, bringing it in-line with Blu-ray.

I'm not aware of anything on the BD Triple Layer front.

The Aviator and the Dirty Harry series have already been confirmed.

Dirty Harry was confirmed eons ago, when they announced that the console game was in development (Featuring Clint reprising the role. Why TBH? If his dubbing of the tG,tB,atU reinstated scenes is anything to go by, then it'll sound like shit. They recorded Brando for The Godfather game, but much his stuff sounded like arse because of his age, so they re-recorded a good chunk with an impersonator.).

I never got around to picking up The Aviator on DVD, so I just might get the HD-DVD instead.

I hope they remaster the transfer this time. The SE is the same transfer as the original WB DVD and it needs improvement.

According to this BD review the colours have been altered to "now" reflect how it should've looked all along on home formats (which has resulted in flatter, duller colours). It's well worth a read, it includes extensive comments from the "post production supervisor" of Dracula:

It goes on to say people are split whether they like the new look or the old one they're used to.
