I'll admit the ending of Texas is decent but oh boy what came before it is is utter crud. Just like a martial arts film with the odd bit of decent action cannot save it from overall being mundane.

TCM is a classic. which martial arts films are you referring to,or are you generalising the whole genre?

No particular martial arts film and no not generalising.

I was just making a general comment, that's all. I don't even know how you could come to the conclusion "I was generalising on the whole genre" based on what I said. I tend to find a 90-100 minute martial arts film (or action film) with only 10 minutes of decent martial arts in an otherwise dull film, for example, won't mean it's overall a good film.

Ok thriller featuring Rachel Nichols who on xmas eve gets locked in an underground car park with psycho security guard Wes Bentley.certainly watchable this suffers from a particularly weak villain turn from Wes Bentley who just doesn't scare. Nice early ludicrous plot device gets Big-titted Nichols showing nice cleavage for most of the film though

Wes Bent is even worse in Ghsot Rider, so I guess he is just like a banana, not scary at all, excpept when its in your ass.

Sex and the Silver Screen: 3.5/5

Interesting documentary on the history of censorship and portrayal of sex within American cinema. I've only seen the 1st 2 parts so far.
It's good but not in the same league as the terrific documentary on MGM - 'When The Lion Roars' what lets it down is the overly scripted, patchy narration by Raquel Welch, and the lack of any real interview footage with the participants/people. It feels strange hearing an actor read out another person's words, as was the case throughout this piece whenever a quotation was needed.
There are some interesting clips though.

I've never heard this film, Ghsot Rider. Was it originally in Hebrew, Arabic or Klingon?

The Orphanage 3/5 (2nd viewing)

Enjoyed this more 2nd time around,looks very nice on BD but i still feel it's a tad overrated.quite sad and creepy but not particularly scary.great seance sequence.

The Eye (Remake) 2/5

As pointless remakes of Asian horror movies go this is one of the better ones which isn't saying much.Alba looks lovely as usual but she's not much of an actress.

The American Ring 2 was pretty good but completely unnecessary.

So to clarify:A: I Haven't and don't intend to buy it. B: As i suspected you've not seen it. C:It isn't very good but i can say that from at least having seen it. D:Anyone who thought Driller Killer decent shouldn't be commenting on other people's tasted in movies

I said I thought it was good (although I meant fairly good) and I'm not sure I'd like it today though .

ok would be something like 2-2,5/5 and mostly awful would be between 1 and 1,5/5.

Yes we are going in circles and I don't think it really matters, but seeing as you must know -

* Mostly awful means it's not outright awful as it has moments which are okay. Clear? As in "Mostly Awful".
* Hung is pretty much right but I'd say 1 out of 5 or 1.5 out of 5 is awful, not mostly awful. Confused?
