Alex and JLS gave the best performances on Saturday IMO. JLS singing I'm Already There was so moving.

How is he whiny? I think he should have been taken off stage then as he was in too much of a state, but I could see he was really upset.

I saw the repeat and all that really got on my nerves. They all take it way too seriously, why? Because there is absolutely no guarantee they'll be a success anyway.

The Egg really gets on my nerves. I should've been out weeks ago. I'm with Salty on this one. He's not moving in the slightest. People crying doesn't immediately mean it's moving or touching. Fair enough you thought so though .

It seems so One of them is Boyzone for the final - yawn. I think Beyonce is appearing too though so she'll probably sing with Alex.
Fair enough - agreed some people cry to get sympathy at the drop of a hat and its annoying but I don't think that was the case with Eoghan He'll probably look back on that in a few years time and may cringe though.
He may win as mothers and grannies love him But Alex is more talented IMO.

I want JLS to win. Not because they necessarily are the best but because:

1) Eogogogogogogoghahanghaghoghan is fecking annoying. Don't care for him too much and there have been quite a number of far better singers, performers and characters already voted out - from his own category that Austin guy was way better.
2) Alexandra is too similar to Leona for me. She'll be singing largely the same types of song as Leona and I don't think she is as good as Leona either. Maybe she's got a little more personality, but in the singing dept. she doesn't match up. So I don't want to hear more Leona type songs that aren't even as good.

So at least with JLS you'll get something different from the x-factor, which will at least make it interesting. And it'll probably just annoy Simon if Louie wins... always a plus point!

Everyone copies everyone else I guess - I dont find Alex a copy of Leona really in the sense her voice is different and she's singing a few more uptempos than Leona did in her season of XF (Candyman, Toxic etc). But she is the same sort of 'artist' as Leona is if that makes sense. Alex is younger, and appeared on XF the year before her in 2005, so she's not copying her IMO.

She may not be copying Leona, but if she wins her management will give her very similar styles of songs to that which Leona gets, as that is what is popular and where they will imagine she'll sell cds.

Nothing against her or Leona, but I could live without another "big female voice" artist.

I think Alexndra and Leona re roughly as good singers as each other and Leona's personality is annoying but like you say you couldn't tell them apart singing wise.

I don't find Leona annoying. OK she's quite shy, but she seems a sweet, nice girl and quite funny.

People who're "that" nice must be secretly bad . Seriously it gets on my wick when people are that lovey dovey.

You won't like Ruth then Seriously she has a lovely personality too, she seems so warm and gracious and has a good sense of humour

Alexandra and Beyonce will be good but all these "sing as loud as you can ballad" voices can get a bit much. Oddly both the MSN and DS links are dated today.

I think Beyonce will way outshine Alex, she's a megastar - but Westlife and Boyzone?! They're both crap. I think they want Alex to win.

Yeah they definitely want Alexandra to win by giving them tosh bands. Take That came back with a storm and still have it but Boyzone are so passed it. At least all of Take That actually sing.

JLS were very good but Alex was pure class. A worthy winner.

I was out but it was expected Leon Mark 2 was to win.

I thought the understated first half of Alex's version of Hallelujah was lovely - that was beautiful. The 2nd part was overbaked with the choir and everything (not Alex's fault), thats her vocal style, but the 2nd half isnt how I envisoned Hallelujah being sung TBH.
Without the key change it would have been better.

I still say JLS should've won. Alexandra is obviously the better singer but a JLS single would've been better.

Hallelujah is a lame song choice though. They're always given ruddy covers. Girls Aloud weren't and were given surprisingly well written songs.
