Thanks a bunch, Slasher!

Will order it next month then.

As for your PowerDVD setup... in preferences go to the Snapshot Options and under "Captured Aspect Ratio" chose "Current window video size". Make sure to also tick "Keep aspect ratio".

I hate Thai dvds, so no way I will be downgrading to these. Still nice price for them shame about the thai origins.

Cheers for that LostDragon, Will do that.

@Romerojpg, Why hate thai dvds. I only have this and Ong-Bak, and have to say these do rival the region 1 and are much much better than the Artmagic (r2) and Madman (r4) release

Nope I detest the Thai writing and covers I have owned and seen, they just ruin them badly and a lot of the dvds I have had are poo, many people say they are quality. So I got them and on closer inspection they are cheap quaility in every way, people just dont look close enuff I guess.

Dont get me started on the single lyered thin case pirate like dvds they produce!

I sold all of the Thai dvds I have ever had ad up[graded to far supirior versions from other regions, but I am stuck with a few as no one in their right mind wants them :(

Ohh okay, these ones I have are not bad, actually they are really really good, on par to the R1 version. I shall see if Grim says the same as well.

Hey Slasher,

I have just sampled Lone Wolf and Cub 1 (Sword Vengeance) and IMO it is very good, AV wise looks to be on a par with the R1, right down to having the full subtitles which explain the complicated Japanese words.
I was a bit worried at first as I accidentally switched the Thai dub on  (It plays automatically with that).
The discs must be a straight port of the R1's as theyre NTSC - I thought Thailand was PAL? :?

Yeah i found that as well, the thai dub comes on automaticly. Excellent, glad my eyes were not decieving me . I can't find any difference between this and the R1 version, they must of licenced it. Yup Thailand is PAL, so maybe they converted NTSC to PAL properly. The full subtitles is a blessing, as littles japanese history or words, or explained.

So are you saying the discs are actually PAL even though it says NTSC on the back of the box? I'm confused. :? I cant decide what colour settings to use on my TV now.
I wouldnt be able to recognise an NTSC-PAL transfer if I fell over it! ;)

Hey,

For some reason I thought the colours were more "natural" on the Thai DVD than on the R1, its been a long time since I've seen LWAC: SOV R1 though, really, it looked to be a port of the R1 (the subtitles certainly are).
