I was about to say the same thing, Bisc. I think we've had one actual comment on the film itself :)
Anyway, I liked it. I don't understand the "badly made" comment by Kermode (but then I find myself disagreeing with his reviews on a regular basis "The Exorcist is the best film ever made!" Alright, it's good, but make sense.) It's not difficult to understand, and presents its points in a way that isn't patronising but still enlightening (if you don't know the reasons). Clooney being tortured is a rough scene to watch... that's all I'll say.

To drag this thread back to it's other purpose for being (maybe the title of the thread needs renaming? :D) Romero, how do you know that these 8 were Muslims? I mean, were they wearing the skullcaps or something? Or was it an assumption based on skin colour? :?:

Kurgan sorry to say Honestly I cannot be bothered to talk about it anymore, its probibly best if a mod just goes back and wipes the whole off topic part of the thread.
I could say more about why, what they said, etc.. but really I am sure most people wouldnt beleve me anyway and most wont want to hear :) I wish I had never bothered saying the word Muslims at all.

Well I wish I had seen it under better circumstances :) as I think Clooney is amazing in all films (apart from his Coen colabarations and I am a big Coen fan) and the torture was top stuff as I realy felt it for once.

I'd really like to see this film, but alas spent all my money for the month on DVDs. It's supposed to harken back to the American political thrillers of 1970's and those were often great films.
