Romero likes Revolutions
Pfff... I can't beat him at this game.
Even
I don't like Revolutions.

Revolutions was a piece of shit compared to the first 2 films IMO. Even Reloaded was better than that.
I think Romero said Revolutions was not as good as Matrix/Reloaded but he still liked it. Fairy muff

TBH I kind of like Reloaded and Revolutions they're not as bad by far as you guys make out. Reloaded is better (just) but that dance sequence is awful, STILL it does have much better action.
Actually like isn't the right word I don't hate them put it that way.
I remember the action in Revolutions being mostly lots of shooting (it seemed to go on forever). Like Kill Bill they would've been better cut down to one film, definitely. Revolutions does get lost up it's own arse though at the end with all that mumbo jumbo.
Sure neither are great but like Terminator 3 and Godfather 3 to cite two examples ignore what came before and they're not that bad in their own right (Godfather is actually very good).
I'd certainly be happy to own them for £16.99 but at £25.99 for the box set no thanks. The Original Matrix R4 still looks decent, just not as decent.
To pull back what I said earlier while minor "Face/Off" type cuts don't bother one iota I do remember the headbutts being nicely brutal + it's missing the Animatrix Japanese soundtrack too so all in all it wasn't to bad. So it's probably a good thing I didn't end up getting the UK Box set.

The R2UK Matrix 10-discer is still a compromised set.
-Cut Matrix 1
-Missing original Japanese language tracks from Animatrix.

Give it a rest. Jeez I agree but you already put that across before. What's the point saying it again? We were already quite capable of reading it the last time.
I'm no longer interested in but some might be.

£16.99 is a very good price though, the r1 is far more.

Not really you could have had the french version, or german etc.. all UNCUT and have been as low as the UK set, the UK set has cuts and it ruins the film so not even worth getting.

Give it a rest guys you stated very clearly a few posts/days ago it's cut WE KNOW THIS. For some it's still a bargain you're both (not you Grim) sounding like a stuck record.
What the French and German sets are also £16.99? I've not checked but are you sure? Do they have the Japanese DD5.1 for The Animatrix?

I havent got a clue about silly Japanese for silly animation section, its animation so I dont give a shit it doesnt need Japanese language for most people, english is far better as it doesnt need to sinc up anyway. I am sure the german version was 17 pound not to long back and it was uncut.
I may sound like a stuck record, but I will keep going on about the UK dvd is cut forever, as hell its cut!

Fair enough but repeating yourself only 20 minutes later is a bit stupid don't you think.

My Matrix HD-DVD UK box set arrived today.
I'm a bit disappointed it's just 3 HD-DVD cases inside a box, the box is snazzy though and shines green in the light.
The covers though are just the 3 original covers used for the separate DVD releases including blue/grey Matrix cover which looks really out of place against all the green. They should've given that one a green tinge. They did for the film after all.
Still I can't complain it was uber cheap. I wish I could bloody play them now

I've read elsewhere that The Matrix is, in fact, uncut in this HD DVD release. I read it on a forum today at work, but I can't remember which one. Someone was saying they'd watched The Matrix & checked to see if the cuts were there. Apparantly they're gone.
I think its something to do with the UK HD DVDs being straight ports of the US versions...

Yes it's uncut and apparently it carries all the extras from the more expensive usa ultimate matrix set which is why they are flippers.super bargain, well done to OP

It contains the first 3 discs of extras from the Ultimate set but NOT the extras from Disc 4 & 5. In other words the Revisted extras but not the Ultimate extras including The Animatrix. See here:

They are indeed Uncut

and they do indeed use the same transfer as the american releases from the look of them, you even get the R rated screen at the beginning like the ameircan versions! now thats a new one on me
They are uncut becuase they were resubmitted for the PSP a while back, and they got thru uncut bakc then, so I guess they had already been classified uncut on one format, HD DVD took that uncut status and carried it over I guess

good thing too.
For £16 its an amazing bargain.

The box set was never £16, was it?

Yes, if you did what I said a while back, you didnt so you never got it for £16

you said it was not worth the bother canceling your curent order or using Quidco.
I lied, it was £16.20p
