Yeah, I'd bone Shu Qi too
I haven't seen Transporter 1 or 2 yet. But Crank (starring Stratham) sounds fun.
Who wouldn't want to bone her!
I didn't think much of the transporter and he's certainly no martial artist, although he looks credible as an action hero. I preferred the sequel to the transporter although that wasn't a lot better and like Grimm Tales I think crank looks like it could be quite fun... Although I wouldn't gamble on a blind purchase on his record.
Did anyone know that
Rogue has now been renamed
War

They are up in arms as to what to call it

it has about 6 names at the moment. The reason being another film called Rogue is out forst, so they have to change the name. The other Rogue is about a MASSIVE killer croc eating people
Statham was an olympic diver before he got into films, so I guess he was always fit as hell and martial arts were not that much of a stretch for him. Still he was pants in The One, he didnt do anything sadly. But I love Transpoerter 1 and 2, maybe not the best action films ever made, but hey I love em all the same. Far better than the shit Jet Li and jackie Chan pump out every year.

Transporter 1 was a good guilty pleasure dumb action film. Transporter 2 was just low budget crap with some of the worst CGI outside of Doctor Who.

Oooh! You haven't seen... The Transporter 2 then !!! MOTY 2006?
I'm actually not dissuaded by Statham, I kinda like his style (and I'm kinda not bothered by brainless action films like say, The Transporter - now and then... let me put it like this, I've seen worse... MUCH worse, like Out for a Kill (2003)) and he's done well in Lock,Stock, Snatch, Italian Job and not least of all Revolver. I feel he's kinda like the new millenium's '80's action hero (think Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Lundgren, Van Damme etc from the 80s

)
Crank was a special kind of film... "odd/unique" ending... and disturbed filming. I looks unbelievable on BluRay though (I've seen the trailers) since it was shot on digital HD cams.

I like Statham as much as the next guy, but some of the comments about him in this thread are completely insane! More charisma than The Rock? Are you on crack? More skills than Jackie Chan? Christ I know JC is long past his best, but he can still pull out more skillz than Statham could ever fucking dream of!
The guy is a typical case of a star in good physical condition who does regular light martial arts training and can look pretty solid with a good action director behind him. He is definitely not a martial artist in the professional sense.

Statham rocks and besides "The One", I have yet to see a film with him that I did not enjoy watching.

"that's boooooolshit" Statham's american accent is so fuckin dodgy in The One, why couldn't they just let him be English!

I liked Crank but to say Stratham is more skillful than Jackie Chan, even considering his age and the fact he is past his best is laughable IMO. 8)

I completely agree Jackie Chan has far more skills although it is a shame he doesn't really do much with them any more. I haven't seen Crank but what I have seen of Stratham he looks skillful compared to most Hollywood stars and very much an action hero of the moment and the future. Still as has been said there is a helluva difference between having a good martial-arts choreographer behind someone like Stratham and a skilled martial artist
Far better than the shit Jet Li and jackie Chan pump out every year.
they may be better than a lot of the Jackie Chan movies of recent times but with the exception of The One and Cradle to the Grave what shit movies has Jet Li been putting out every year? Kiss Of the Dragon? Hero? Fearless? Danny The Dog? don't make me laugh.

Agree, Kiss of the Dragon and Danny The Dog/Unleashed were OK movies, Hero was outstanding.
But add Romeo Must Die to the list of poo films.

I agree Romeo Must Die is not the best Jet Li movie but I would still call it a good film and miles better than The Transporter/The Transporter 2.
I'm surprised you think so lowly of Kiss Of the Dragon ! It's my joint favourite Jet Li movie along with Fist of Legend .

Maybe I'll check out RMD in its uncut version then....
That said I liked the cool bone breaks in Romeo Must Die (stolen from Sonny Chiba's The Street Fighter).
Fist of Legend is excellent, but what about the superb Once Upon A Time In China? A classic.

I keep meaning to Pickup the region 1 uncut version of Romeo Must Die too especially since you can pick up a cheap second-hand one off Amazon.co.uk market place for only a few quid.
I didn't realise that as I've never seen the street fighter.
Yes it is a classic although I prefer Once Upon A Time In China 2 .

Trailer available over at IGN.com...

edit: Looks like crap btw. Doesnt look interesting to me at all...
Never been a fan of Statham, and this seems like it's just another one of those overblown glossy crappy actionflicks with expensive cars, fast videocuts, comicbook characters, lame story, and lots of dumb one-liners and bling-bling...
