That wasn't too hard to explain . Hence it's English title "Blast", which it sounds like doesn't explain itself too well.

I'm trying to think of the English alternative, "Butterflies in your stomach" maybe. That sounds pants though.

That's because the singer doesn't pronouce it correctly. I've heard my cousins (who are born & bred Indians) pronouce it and it's different to how it's pronounced in the song.

The singer is Tata Young - who is half Thai/American (and 100% gorgeous). AFAIK, she doesn't speak Hindi but she did a great job with the song nevertheless (having to learn a language for the sake of a song is pretty difficult I guess).

Once you watch Dhoom (but watch Black first), you'll see a Tata Young music video as an extra - she's hooooottttttttt.

Oh btw, from imdb:

The music director, Pritam Chakraborty, had a tough time composing "Dhoom Dhoom." Apparently, Tata Young , no matter how much she tried, pronounced the word "Dhoom" as "Doom." It was eventually left that way.

The subtitles on the DVD translate it as "pump the rock" lol.

Odd choice to pick a westerner then if she can't pronounce the title song. She is hot though agreed.
