I wouldn't be surprised if he already has them . I missed all comedy from Ashes to Ashes and the female/male interplay is sorely missing.

Unfortunately Brad I don't have the BD's, the DVD's are fine It's just a TV series so I'm not sure BD would make a huge difference
I guess it just depends which series you saw first TBH, which you prefer.

HD makes TV look as good as HD films, if its a good looing show and has the effort put into the disc.

As to Life on Mars. I think it was filmed in HD but it isn't the sort of show that I imagine will look much better. The DVD don't exactly look great, acceptable though.

Very much so, it's that sort of show. Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars are so different it's almost impossible for you to like them both as much. I hear Ashes to Ashes: Series 2 will be much darker, more like Life on Mars.

Anything filmed above standard definition will show obvious benefits in HD as long as they transfer it to HD correctly and do a good job. This is completely regardless of whether it is a film, an advert a TV show or just a home video. it's as simple as that.

I wish they'd bloody bring this out on BD, like they have Life on Mars. Ashes to Ashes is a superior series IMO. I've only seen one series of Life on Mars and have little interest in seeing Series 2, which must say a lot.

I am concerned about Ashes to Ashes Series 2, given that I've read they're going to make it more serious. Which is fine but they took it too far with Life on Mars, it was too serious to the point it lacked humour.

Was reading about the new series in SFX magazine,it will be darker i think,however Morph and Roland Rat are in it so it can't be all serious. interestingly ###big spoiler### it intimates there'll be a 3rd series but Gene Hunt won't be in it

Life on Mars or Ashes to Ashes first?

LOM wasn't all serious, it just mixed the serious/sad moments with some great humour IMO.

It's mostly serious, unlike Ashes to Ashes which plays it mostly for humour, although serious too.

They're almost the opposite of each other A2A is played mostly for laughs, but has some serious scenes. LOM had some humour throughout, but is played straight I think (if you see what I mean). John Simm doesn't play it in a knowing nudge-nudge sort of way, there's some fantastic acting in LOM
