How much is the bet for? Who with? What month did you say? You should've made it a public bet, instead of a sneaky PM one.
Don't pop at me the bet was Grim's idea

I'm surprised Grim would come up with it when he's barely commented in my Combo thread. He barely comments in the HD thread at all.
Who is the second person? How much is the bet for? It should've been a public bet. That way it would've been more fun

This is a forum, based solely on text. It's not exactly hard to fool someone.

If you look at this link again. It looks to have been confirmed.
DTS-HD does better support Legacy Amps than TrueHD does, including Full-rate Lossy audio guaranteed.

Doomsday Unrated, lossless audio confirmed.
But $40USD RRP?! That's the same price as the old shitty combo discs.

Let's just hope we can still pick them up for a reasonable price anyway as that price is a joke.

Yup and its a dark future
I am still waiting to see if they are all Region Free, as if not I am stuffed anyway

Did you buy a UK PS3? If so many will get UK releases too.

Yup got a UK PS3, I am sure 99% will get UK release, but the prices will be nice overseas

in the end I thought stuff it and just got a PS3 UK model as it was less hastle and had tonnes of vouchers and stuff to trade in etc.. Many of the films I want are region free as well, its not as if I can buy everything I want now as they cost a we bit too much to do that. So if anything it slows my spending down.

Fair enough. Personally I would've got a USA PS3, especially as they're multi-voltage and just need a UK kettle lead.

I agree with you on the price, but the specs are fine.
25GB is fine with the MPEG4 video and compressed audio codecs. Also don't forget that HD-DVD offered 30GB max and there are loads of lovely quality discs on that format.

Many BD25 reviews also get great AV quality.
There's no point using BD50s just for the sake of it. Not only are they using MPEG4 but they don't have PCM too. I understand the MPEG4 codecs are very efficient at saving space.

Its disapointment in my heart I guess

I just wanted soemthing really impressive from Universal for one of their first big titles. It just doesnt impress me on paper, maybe them featreuttes are hours long (but I doubt it).
