Don't use guns then, there's a trophy/achievement for completing the game without shooting a single person, I got it

I actually meant more the fact that bastards are shooting at you...

I love the controls, the main character, the style they chose for the game, etc... but I just don't like the story-aspect of it all when it means people are trying to chase you down and shooting at you and such.

They should have just used these controls and this style, added more cool characters to play as, and made this game into a free-running racing game across rooftops and malls across the globe...

Play the other mode then, there's an even an expansion pack called Pure Time Trials that adds loads of crazy abstract race courses, I downloaded it for free so you might not have to pay anything still.
