Looks smart. I also thought PotC was just eye-candy and very little else.

Neither do we when they've not even reviewed it, which would be hard when it's not out yet.

Yup its amazing non englsih films can make so much cash, as a lot of americans are so thick they are cavemen. But they are the people they ussually interview, people who dont know things like what country they are in.

I guess the religious people are going to see Acapulcopops, as its far from a film that would normally ever get that many people going to see it, ever. So Gibsons recent palava and evil drunk driving shenanigans worked and it hepled the box office, when he should be in jail!

I think its just as likely to have been the success of Passion (most succesful foreign language film ever) than his behaviour don't you Romero? :)

It's all about marketing and hype. I'm confident a lot more foreign language films would do well if they had those too.

Seeing as you've never been how about you pass judgement when you have. You like most are mistaken.

America is an incredibly divorce country (more so than the UK). In the same country you have Texas you also have California, two polar opposites.

Why? It's not got anything to do with religion at all AFAIK. Certainly not in the usual sense.

AFAIK the case isn't over.

Thats why I added on the end of my comments

"But they are the people they ussually interview, people who dont know things like what country they are in"

:D read sllloowwwlyyy...

and hey the Religous aspect to the film are held high, basically the religious people who follow Gibson (there a many) will see the film, just becuase Gibsons made it and he made Passion, once you have religious fans you ussually have them for life, or until you do something bad in public (As Gibson has).

It wont be doing well in the UK, as basicaly no one normal (away from the net etc.. ) has even heard of it, and the trailer didnt help at all my friend in the cinema (and many others) had no idea what the hell it was..

Fair enough.

Of course they haven't it's out yet. The Passion did well. I reckon this will. They've done the usual trick of not including any vocals in the trailer.

Its already made its budget back :) so in theory its a hit, and hell the cash came from Gibsons back pocket, so really he will be happy to make a few million more after his half a billion take from the Pasion :)

I don't see what on Earth a film about the Mayan civilisation has to do with Christianity, so why would a Christian audience bother with this film?
