Yeah, I agree Louis was an idiot
I agree Maria was good looking  and she put in a good performance too! :)
Nicholas was bland and predictable. IMO Louis kept the Conway Sisters on as they are not a threat to his precious Shayne
Its disgusting what he did after Louis had first praised Maria to the hilt.
No Chico's voice wasnt very good, he should stick to up tempo songs. At least he was trying something different though.

Bruce did you hear on the Xtra Factor that next week Shayne will do "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by the Darkness :o
That songs all wrong, particularly as The Darkness are just a parody of 70's rock groups/Queen. This could spell the end of him.

Nicholas was rubbish also - "I Believe I Can Fly" - "I Believe I Sing Flat" more like.

I'm sure Chico will go back to his old ways of grandstanding antics on the stage, its what he does best. I'bve got a feeling next week he could do a Robbie song...

Has he done "Let Me Entertain You" yet? That would be perfect for him.

No he hasnt done that yet but I'm sure that would suit him to a tee. :)
I often think of comparisons between the two artists (kind of) - Is Robbie Williams the best singer? No. Does he know how to entertain an audience and control a crowd? Certainly.

That said, Angels is a classic song ;)

Simon Cowell admits he boobed letting the Conways through:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/showbiz/tm ... _page.html

"If I'd had 5 minutes to think about it I would have sent the Conway Sisters home. Maria should have stayed. The Conway Sisters don't have a chance of winning this competition"

........

Well they DO have a chance now dont they you tosser
Maria should be reinstated, if you watch closely the Conways were staring at Louis and bullied him into letting them through :x

Yeah, me too.
It might be that fans got complacent? Maria was in the bottom two after all. Maybe they thought she'd be "safe"? If they want her to get through they should vote, no?

Still doesnt excuse what Louis did, Maria was far better than the Conways (who are already famous in Ireland).

I've also heard Shayne may do Take That's "A Million Love Songs" :)
Speaking of TT, in retrospect they weren't so bad, "Back For Good" was brilliant. ;) "Never Forget" (their last single) was good too.

Chico may use the show to promote a singel?!?! I thought this was against the rules.
Surely he has to do a song everyone knows.

According to this link Louis had made up his mind to save the Conways and ditch Maria before she even sang :?
Thats pretty shocking

Another good song for Chico might be "Kiss Kiss" (I'm talking about the original Turkish version by Tarkan here, not the Holly Valance cover!)

:D TBH I cant see him performing an original song.

Songs for this Saturday:

Shayne - A Million Love Songs (Take That) - Excellent ballad, bound to be a good choice what with the TT docu this week.
Nicholas - If You Ever (East 17 & Gabrielle) - Bland, bland. bland
Journey South - Angels (Robbie Williams) - could be superb, or they could crash and burn. No-one can do Angels like Robbie and Livin' On a Prayer last week was the first time they sounded like a club act.
The Conways - One Moment In Time (Whitney Houston)
Brenda - Last Dance (Donna Summer)
Andy - Me & Mrs Jones (Billy Paul)
Chico - It's Chico Time - good grief  In a way I'm sort of looking forward to it, good luck to him. Again he takes a risk with an original track no-one has done before. He does seem to be being unfairly groomed to have the Xmas No 1 :?

Ahh Journey South are very good, so they may just pull off the Angel song. They took a big chance 2 or 3 weeks ago, singing without any backing songs or music, just there voice and guitar. I thought that was excellent.

Also good luck to Chico, okay he may not have the music talent as like Andy, but he has got something about him which is what the X-Factor is all about. I know it's about you voice, but also it should be about a star quality in you. I kinda glad he has made it so far

Yeah me too, if this was Pop Idol Chico would have died on his arse - Chico can't sing but is a great entertainer and has something about him :D Isn't the show called the X factor after all? With him its not about the vocal its about the performance so it doesnt matter what songs he sings, IMO.

Part of the problem with the X-FACTOR - and I like the show - is that it blatantly disregards its own remit. The idea was to create a talent show open to all ages and talents - and yet everyweek each contestant is judged on how much like chart stars they are. What's the point in that? I personally don't want to see another Justin Timberland. One is more than enough, thanks!!

Dunno about that, when Maria sang a poor version of "You're Beautiful" she gets told "You made that song your own" (snort). If they sing too well they get told its too karaoke.
Simon's only pretending to warm to Chico because he knows he gets more people watching = more money for Simon. ;)
Hell, I wouldnt be surprised if it was fixed for him to win :o (though he probably won't). Remember the last Pop Idol was fixed for Michelle Mcwalrus to win, and Gareth Gay nearly won PI 2002.
Shayne is doing a Take That song anyway this week.
Nicholas should go, he's rubish :?

Perhaps he (Chico) could do Adam and the Ants' Prince Charming as it contains the line "Ridicule is nothing to be scared of" :D
Or James Brown's Sex Machine :D

Seriously though, Andy or Journey South to win IMO though it would be very funny if Chico won. :D

It's funny how many songs out there would actually suit Chico. Anything that requires charisma but not a strong singing voice. So that's 95% of the current charts then. :D

LOL I know what you mean, as Louis said, most of today's chart stars can't sing anyway. :D
Chico singing an original song could benefit him or backfire. He could be being set up as the fall guy and go out OR be safe as that song was written for him so he has to record it :?

I once compared him to a cross between Robbie Williams and the Cat from Red Dwarf. ;) I loved that bit during his performance of Livin' La Vida Loca when, during the interlude, he leapt off the stage. danced with the little girl, ran back on, did the splits, spun around and then did the second verse ON CUE. Brilliant. ;) His appeal is certainly visual.

Chico is the guy everyone wants at their party.

But perhaps not the guy you want singing 12 tracks on your CD.

Mark did you see X factor: Access All Areas tonight?
Vomit inducing video from the Conway Sisters home town in Sligo with all their family friends (perhaps everyone in Sligo) going on about how great they were.
I smell a rat with this personal relationship thing... :? Louis says he knows the girls well and their father but they said they only met him once when they "bumped into him" at a "wedding".
Pity they didnt say it was Shane Filan of Westlife's wedding

Nicholas sounded as flat as a pancake during his soundcheck but I did really like Journey South :) However some parts sounded very karaoke like, like one singer was trying to hard to imitate Robbie during the verses :?

The look back at the sight of Sharon getting her breasts fondled (!) was actually very funny :D

What would happen if already famous people entered X Factor? ;)

in this series Aretha Franklin would get voted off by Louis in week 3 in favour of the Conways. Elvis, week 4 - too boring. The Beatles week 5 - weak choice of songs. Oasis week 6 - singer didn't move around enough. Frank Sinatra week 7 - novelty has worn off you old giffer. Mozart week 8 - never old enough to handle the pressure. Freddie Mercury week 9 - gay. Madonna week 10 - woman. Final: Shayne v Conways v Chico. Winner Shayne and within 3 years he's Britain's leading male solo artist due to a tragic accident involving Robbie Williams, Will Young, Daniel Bedingfield, John Alford and Nick Berry. Well every loser wins.. once the dream.. etc.

Its' Chico Time.. the lyrics.

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/tm_ob ... _page.html

Good Grief.... me expects a rip off of Michael Jackson crossed with "U Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer. Could be funny though!

:D
I'd like it if he comes on stage - shouts "What Time is it?" and the audience go "Its quarter past seven" or something like that.

What's this about Sharon's baps being fondled???

And yeah, the greatest artists of the century probably wouldn't make it to the live stages for being "too this" or "too that".

Chico for Prime Minister. :D

In one sketch on Xtra Factor 24/7 Sharon says something like "Do you want to feel my binbags?" and our Chico goes at it with gusto (Andy does a bit too). Chico proclaims "Thats' a perfect 18 year old pair of tits (!)"

:D
