Thanks. Even if the American box office is notorious for getting it (so) wrong.

What I find really bizarre is they're both intelligent enough to know if they had filmed this in Mandarin or Cantonese it would probably long term do much better.

Unless you know the script is so good it seems weird to go up against the big budget Hollywood films.

Jackie and Jet dont make Hollywood movies for the quality...

Well I finally got to see this... and I quite enjoyed it - the fight scenes were well done (except for the over emphasis on "floating" after being hit etc), but the best thing was that Jackie Chan was doing some "real" fighting, none of that Ladder/Stool/Chair/Table rubbish that he has been doing for the last 10 years or so... don't get me wrong, he's awesome at that stuff, but I prefer the more serious fights.

Jet Li vs Jackie Chan fight is quite good to.

My only gripe was that the Chinese actors speaking english can be a bit awful at times, would've made it a bit better if they just spoke in chinese with english subtitles...

Cheers Eon. I hope I like this but Jackie and Jet so rarely make a good film in English my expectations are low.

It's a reasonably fun film Brad. Crap story, but short enough to not outstay its welcome and enough action to hold your attention. A country mile better than the last films Jackie & Jet made in the U.S.

Mind you, Jet Li is fucking useless in it, the dullest portrayal of the Monkey King ever! :D

Indeed, by no means was it a great movie - just some simple fluff with some decent enough fight scenes. As mentioned above, definitely the best thing either party has done in hollywood for a while.

Not yet, I am seeing it myself in cinema :) but it is bloody awful looking in a way from the trailers and it is being aimed at the lower age people it seems :D

I loved Rush Hour 3 (the best/funniest in the series) so I cannot talk :D

romero being a big fat hypocrite and judging a film before he sees it, shocker! :D

Erm again show me where I judge any "film", your blind as usual. I judged the trailer, not the film. As I aint seen the film.

:D

Just admit it, you're a big fucking hypocrite. At least I admit to judging films (to an extent) before I see it 8), which virtually everyone does anyway.

You're judging the trailer not film, what utter bollocks. "You're judging the film based on the trailer". Be mature enough for once just to admit it. You're hilarious, you won't even own up to something when it's blatantly obvious to everyone.
