I decided to cancel my WOTW order as I've ordered more DVDs than I realised this month already. I was only paid a week ago and have spent to much already, oops.

No worries. That's an awesome price, for an excellent film on a great DVD. Why did you pay more for it? Did you only use one voucher?

I only used a 1 pound voucher link to make 3.99 pounds (was listed as 4.99 pounds). Excellent buy, Amelie is a great film.

Yep, they have for a few weeks. They may stop it again but for now they're letting them go through.

"Days in Heaven" - I went for that a few weeks back to complete my Mallick Trilogy. I'm not sure I'm going to get "New World".

Not until it's cheap as chips anyway, a big disappointment. Think "Gangs of New York" - Lots of potential, by no means a disaster but flawed.

It's the Region 4 which they're absurdly calling the "Headbutt Edition" (seriously) because it's uncut unlike the UK R2 (I'm guessing). I'd actually prefer the UK R2 but for £3.99 I can live with the Aussie rating logo.

So them double voucher combos are STILL working! crikey!

Nah, that would've used the old ratings labels since the DVD was released years ago. Only DVDs released since Q3 or Q4 2005 suffer from the ghastly new logos.

I was thinking that. The picture on EzyDVD is the old logo but I thought it maybe a new batch, surely those would have the new logo?

Still the old logo was way to big as it is but at least it was fairly discreet.

I got this ages ago it's a decent DVD, easily the best version of an excellent film.

No the HK dvd isn the best, it has some horrendous picture problems about 3 times the picture was a real mess! wish I had avoided it now, as the DTS is pants as well. I wish I had just went american.

I didn't know that I've only sampled the DVD. Why are you recommending a DVD which isn't very good quality? In your opinion.

It looks fine to me but as you know I simply don't notice many picture problems you do.

The Korean DVD has the same extras as the Western DVDs but with DTS. On paper the HK DVD is the best because of the B-Roll footage.

I'd give the Korean DVD ago next or if you have no interest in DTS get whichever is cheaper R1 or UK R2 they're the same. The R1 is cheekily on two discs but has exactly the same extras.

Actually I suspect the R4 is cheaper than the Korean DVD which also has DTS and is on 2 discs. Give that ago.

The extras while limited are good quality though.

£6.98 for BHC and BHC2 is a great price.

I own BHC3 but really it's mostly a mess. Let's see BHC Murder, BHC2 Guns, BHC3 a Theme Park. O-Kay, plus it's really not the same without both Rosewood and Taggart.

The tone is all wrong, it's more like The Nutty Professor in lots of ways. Lastly with the 1980's feel gone it lost all the fun. The clothes they wore really added something.

I don't think much of BHC3 either, not a patch on the first two. I did see it again on TV a few months ago and found it quite watchable though.

You're also forgetting the uniquely 80's sounding music (eg "The Heat is On" from BHC1) really added to the atmosphere, like it did in all Bruckheimer/Don Simpson productions of the era.

So you havent watched it even, then no wonder you never saw the few picture problems then. I never reccomended it I said its cheap, big difference I dont mind the dvd, but the I think 3 instances of servere picture blocking/lines did piss me off a lot, it looked like the amount of lines to make up the picture has been quatered. But its to be expected seeing which company released the dvd in HK.

I strongly suspect I'll be more than happy with it. I saw it at the cinema (outstanding film) so have no interest right now to watch it again. I will one day.

By the fact you're saying it was chip there is a strong implication it's to be recommended. I'm sure you're bought a DVD because someone told you it was cheap as chips. If there is a problem you have an obligation (as we all do) to mention it.

Then why did you buy it? I'd say it's more because they're a HK company than a HK DVD. Sony, Disney and the like release excellent HK DVDs.

Oh yes good point I LOVE that music it's so cool even to this day. Whenever I hear that song it brings back memories of the first time I saw BHC.

The dvd I will try to find the points it goes a big wonky, and I had no idea whaich company released the HK sadly I thought it was a Warner dvd. Still you never know it may just be my dvd, but its very unlikley.

I liked the film thats what counts, very hard going by the end shame the extras are pure 100% shit, worthless trash in every way, the intervew is truley a car crash! Someone needed to slap the interviewer!

It was Mega Star. I thought the extras while limited had some real worth but yeah that interviewer I suppose is a bit annoying.

He's popular in America though so the rest of the world gets him too.

There are a fair few decent titles for peanuts in the CD WOW Easter Sale. I picked up Jaws: 2 Disc SE for £3.99 and Untouchables: SE for £2.99.

The prices are stupidly cheap. I don't care for the Mono on Jaws (R1). The DTS on my R1 1 Disc DTS DVD is awesome, it's how all 5.1 remixes should be made. I'm upgrading for the full length documentary.

Besides the R1 2 Disc SE is around £9 so a lot more money.
