I didn't even know an SE had been released. Anyway it looks to be identical to the French R2 SE and R4 SE.

Shame the film is rubbish. Lynch being weird for the sake of being weird (unlike his other work which is weird but it has a purpose).

It doesn't matter that much when the R4 is about the same price (I think) and has the same spec. -

That's if I import it Aussie (which I'll prolly end up doing), it retails for $40NZD from the high street shops.

It's not expensive for you to import it though so why even consider retail shops. I barely ever even bother with shops any more.

You can find the odd bargain but it's usually a 1 in 10 chance, if that.

Considering the price I'd still opt for the Thai DVD. The rear cover shows it's a WB DVD and not a local release so the quality will be the same, both are WB DVDs.

The "Film Noir" documentary reported in all press releases exclusively for the R1 looks to not have made it, as those extras are the same as the French R2 and Thai R3. Shame the we got screwed for the UK R2 also from WB (not even a trailer).

Yeah, I've no idea why those extras aren't on the R2.

Haven't been able to rent the DVD yet as the rental store I frequented closed just before it came out. I expect good things... but you can never be sure. Don't fancy buying blind.

I doubt it. The film flopped both here and in the US. Not much money in a 2-disc set. At least not until it gains a cult reputation like The Last Boy Scout or something.

Your logic is flawed:

If they were to create a special edition (which is unlikely) they would also create one for Region 1.

A special edition is only likely if it does well on DVD. Personally it doesn't look all that interesting to me.

It didnt flop anyway, it cost nothing to make and made its cash back, its no flop thats for sure. Critics loved it and so did the people who saw it, thats more than enuff to get another dvd out of it. No extras at all in any way on some regions should tell you it will be re-released.

Yes, but I ussually guess right when it comes to re-releases

as ussually I dont buy the 1st edition and wait for the proper dvd, and 99% of the time they come in time. I am patient so I wait

Not that I want this film mind you, its in my to watch pile and will stay there for a while as the trailer was totally shit, just hope the films ok

and I didnt buy it. I like to see most films, even ones I dont think I would enjoy sometimes. Mainly the director is the reason I will watch it.
