I do wonder how much time spent (some might view wasted) on both Facebook and Twitter can be to blame for forums losing some of their members and their members precious time?

I remember when I would spend time reading more -- a lot more than now. If I had more time I certainly would write more (Also I'm a slow writer unfortunately and I tend to ponder.)

I'm going to pick up that latest Shout release which unfortunately was not released at any stores around here.

Today's wide selection of social media is no doubt a distraction for many people. Not me personally, as I couldn't give less of a fuck about twitter and only have an empty facebook profile to view the occasional link. But it was definitely a blow to niche forums for sure. Though I think even on FB and those places the genre is struggling. Kenny B mentioned on the last COF podcast that he had a hard time generating activity on the COF group on FB.

I thought that too, but I think he means the number of girls, not age.... either way, it's pretty pathetic. Back in the day, this guy use to trash Linn Haynes on Shawscope with pictures he had photoshopped, making fat jokes, gay jokes etc. But guess where he came when Shawscope went down.... sad ass loser.

Always wondered the same. Shapes Wanker or something would have been more appropriate.

He was Mantis2k at one point - though I doubt the 2k referred to the quality of his video releases.

I was always perplexed by his site. He was peddling 3rd generation VHS copies of films that were readily available in on DVD. As some kind of museum or time capsule... sure. As a business... not so much. Though he did have some genuine rares.

He was very knowledgeable, but strange.
