I was pretty much happy with the old BD the replacement is noticeably better. The EE was the most annoying for me, second DNR.

I was like, 'hmm, didn't know 21 Grams had been released on BD', then looked at the distributor... 'ahh, Icon, that explains it then' :D

How so? It looks like it was sneaked out in June.

I've already got the Canadian Blu-ray, which has perfectly acceptable AV. It maybe from a TV source but looks fine to me and is in the correct aspect ratio. It has no extras (not even menus) but the DVD only ever had a 20 minute making of anyway.

Because Icon just seems to sneak releases out, I've found this with a couple of other releases, The Rules of Attraction and Y tu mama tambien.

Chungking Express £6.99

How does this compare image wise to the Korean double set?
Trying to decide whether to pick this and FOL up before the VAT increase.

Good point. I wish they'd tell the online news sites. It's really bloody annoying. I got Y tu mama tambien for my Birthday btw. I've not checked it out yet.

VAT in Holland is also about 19-20%. Sucks though. It's wayyy too high already.

Was the vat increase a labour policy the coalition have kept or have they thought it up themselves?

I think it's a coalition policy brought on by the extraordinary national deficit.

As usual it's the general public who have to pay for political and financial sector fuck-ups.
