Status update: Sweden

There was a psychological press war before the match. The Finnish ice hockey team is knows as "Lions", while the Swedish team is "Three Crowns".



One Swedish tablod, sure of Sweden's victory, released a picture of the "Finnish Baby Lion" in diapers before the match... The headline says "It's gonna be child's play"



The next day, Sweden has lost 1-6. Now the picture is different... The headline says "God Dammit, it became child's play"



Status update: Finland

In Finland, on the other hand, we have a slight scandal. When the team arrived in Helsinki, with lost of press and people waiting for them...

1) One of the coaches was so drunk that he had to be helped out from the plane, and even then he flipped on the red carpet and hit his head on the golden trophy cup



2) Another player was so drunk he has difficulties understanding whether he's been interviewed in Finnish or in Swedish (Finland is a bilingual country)

3) On the Finnish-Swedish boarder the Finns ran over the boarder, got into fights, burned some flags, and someone with car ran over someone.

A Week on from the the little fucker next door trying to rob our home he still hasn't been caught...obviously some other scum twat is harbouring him....on a positive note the manager of the housing association has been out and the wheels have been set in motion to evict the family...though it's a long process apparently

At my performing arts/drama group yesterday apparently I was in the same room as famous Bafta winning actor Jim Broadbent (standing very close to him), he must have been visiting the town and group I guess.
But I didnt know it was him at first, my mate turns to me and says "That's Jim Broadbent!"
