LD, I asked my friend on MSN who has finished the game:-
need to use the bow to take out those kryll, then use a sniper rifle or other accurate dmg to attack him when the kryll are flying about, and to stay in the light so the kryll dont kill u. Its tougher in singleplayer, co-op will make it easier

and get attacking asap, so he doesnt come to close and finish you there, hes not really that strong when you learn hes invulnerable with that kryll shield around him

u can use the bows on him to, but can run out fast, especially if u miss

So how did you get your copy? ordered it, or went over the border? :)

I really hope Holland won't have those kind of crap censorship-laws... although I wouldnt be surprised, with the new goverment that is being formed at the moment...

Thanks, Eva! Your mate is lucky. I think I have to play it again from another SaveGame I have as I don't have the SniperRifle. I threw it away for some other weapon! D'OH!!!

No, I got it here from the video rental I work at. We can sell it, because you can only enter the store when you're 18+. We only can't advertise for it.

BTW, "Dead Rising" is shit anyway.

Aw ok, now I see.... you work at a porn-rental ;)

I guess it's OK then, cause most gamers (18+) will then be able to still get it, although, sadly, they have to sneak into an 18+ rental-place...

How come you think Dead Rising is shit? have you played it? I havent, so I dont know if you're right or not, but most reviews gave it high marks, and many people seem to love it... !?

Dead Rising shit? Blasphemy! :o
It's pretty entertaining, actually. If you're a fan at all of the Romero films, you'll appreciate a lot of the little nods in the game (as well as the bigger ones, like the whole thing being set in a mall :D). Plus, who doesn't want to use a lawnmower to decimate hundreds of zombies :D

As for Gears of War, there's a sniper rifle in the cart just before you got meet the big boss type character, so you don't have to reload from another save point. You start off on one side of the carriage; go round the corner and look and there should be a sniper rifle tucked away. It's what I used to kill him and it works a treat. If he gets close to you, you can run (using the pools of light to avoid the kryll) to other side and repeat the sniping headshots. I'm playing the game on the 'Insane' difficulty level with my brother now to get the two-player achievements etc. Not that I care about them, cos I don't have a Live account (my brother does).

Cheers Kurgan.

And no, I don't work at a porn-rental. Although we do have a porn section.

What cool new costume did you unlock? the shinobi one? the one that you unlock when you complete normal is shite...
Stick with it mate, stick with it! I've never played a game that has been so frustrating yet at the same time so rewarding! I uploaded my karma score to XBox Live and I'm now 542 out of 873 players. Not bad!

On completion of Very Hard you unlock the old-school costume - the blue one with no sleeves & red bands from wrist to elbow. Its really cool!

Mission Mode is proving to be a pain in the ass though. I seem to do well for a while & complete a few in one go, then I sort of plateau out & can't finish any new ones, then I beat them and so on and so forth...

I have 37 games for my XBox and literally only 1 ever gets played! I've played Ninja Gaiden Black to death but still haven't got bored of it!

Yeah, I would really like to return to it, and start playing again... but after completing it on Normal I just kinda went on. But like I said, I'm very likely to return to it...

Anyway, like I said in an earlier post, I picked up Fable (TLC) again. I wasnt all that impressed the first time I got it. I liked it OK, but still there were things that annoyed me and bothered me. But the lastw eek orso I've picked it up again, and I'm enjoying it a lot more this time. The amound of detail that has gone into the level design is just amazing, and it looks like something Tim Burton came up with. It's also very funny at times. I now have 25 hours playing time, and havent finished it yet.
I've heard the complaints that this is a short gam, and maybe it is, but I'm quite a slow player and dont rush though only the main story, but also go around a lot doing sidequests and minigames and talking to pretty much everyone, etc etc...

It's not a perfect game, but at the moment I'm enjoying it... :)

...which is bad, cause I should be learning about 3d MAX and Dreamweaver and Poser 7 and stuff...

I'm still playing Jade Empire on Xbox. Took a break, not finished Tien landing, did all the sub missions, this is truely a great game. I am in Imperial City, just landed and found Silver Fox to be a princess. I liked the heaven part, so beautiful, the music is excellent. This is my own rpg that i have really really loved, after I finished this, I will be playing Star Wars that Bioware had done.

On what difficulty are you playing Jade Empire? remember loving it and playing it alot when I just got it, but after a while I stopped playing as it became a bit boring. I'm also in the Imp. City and havent yet completed the final arena mission (as in take on a whole huge bunch of opponents), and I have to do the graveyard mission, whatever it was that I wa ssupposed to do there... but it just became a hassle, and since I'm playing on highest diff. it's just a bit annoying at times.

But difficulty level shouldnt make a difference as to what ending you get, so I'm thinking of turning down the difficulty, and completing it...

Beat Gears Of War on 'Insane' a few days ago. I just can't get enough of this game. For those having problems with General RAAM, believe it or not but the easiest way to kill him is using your machine gun (Taser) the one with the chainsaw. His weakest spot is infact his chest and not his head, use blindfiring when he's near you, if he gets too close, get running to the other end of the train cart. I used the frag grenades to get the Kryll off him then shot the shit out of him with the Taser. He wen't down after about 4 magazines full.

Hey Yi, I doing on the default diffculty, and on the graveyard where I am finding the answer to put the peace on the 3 ghost. The whole game is soo lovely, the ghost children and them at peace was very nice and bit sad. Not since playing Shenmue that i really enjoyed playing a game like this.. Def will recommend you still trying the game to complete. :)

Today after 20 hours playing, finally completed Jade Empire... What can I say except bloody excellent, this is the first RPG game I have completed, played final fantasy, but never completed. This game had me hooked for 4 days, that I needed to complete it. The music and whole story is simply excellent, love the twist in the middle of the game.

High points is fighting Death and also being a ghost and restoring order, that was hard. Fighting Sun Li at the end was bit hard, but not as hard as the Lotus Woman, she was bloody hard, until I equip one of the gems, then she couldn't do much damage to me. I really really hope there is a sequel, and no want to play Bioware Star Wars RPG game...

To anyone who got an Xbox, try this game, it is excellent...

Got Lost Planet and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. Not played 'em (in fact, not been able to play anything over the past few days) but, I played a demo of the former. Seems entertaining enough :)

Well i'd like to add in to everyone elses opinion that Gears of War was a fucking amazing game. I loved every second of it. Everything from the gameplay to the graphics to the voice acting and dialog is all top notch. The multiplayer is awesome too, but i have a hard time playing it on my current slow-as-shit internet connection (LAN system for the whole building) here in Thailand. So far only completed the single player on hardcore mode, going to try insane soon :) :chain:

Lost Planet is a great game also..just started it. Smoke and explosion effects are probably the best i've seen in a game. Incredible stuff.

Rainbow Six: Vegas is absolutely amazing for someone who sometimes enjoys some extreme realism to their gaming. VERY hard and VERY fun.

With Mass Effect, Halo 3, and so many other great ones coming this year...its a good time to be a 360 owner :D

Star Wars: KOTOR - Pretty good, just starting my jedi training. Now used to the battle on Star Wars, much prefer how Jade Empire done the real time battle, alot better and fluid. I know that Star wars was done before jade, so bioware did learn and improve that, they are very talents. The whole game or parts I have played are excellent.. Just loving this RPG stuff now...

Update: Star Wars - KOTOR - may contain spoilers
Mmm this is really getting to me, it is an excellent story. Want to play more Bioware RPG games now, Think I am halfway through after 30 hours of playing. I'm in the Sith Academy in the rock planet after finding out I'm Revan!!!!. That was a good twist to the game, not quite a twist then Jade Empire. I love how changing the crystal will twist what you can do in the lightsaber. I'm a good jedi which have crap force powers compared to the sith. Love the characters, especially the Psycho Droid - C3PO he is not.. some of his one liners crack me up so much.

Also gave this game a new try a few days ago... but sadly it's been wayyy too long ago that I played it, so when I was at some ocean-based city and entered the sith-base I got my ass handed to me in battle...
Maybe I just picked the wrong planet to travel too, and should first upgrade my skills again etc... but on the other hand I'm thinking I might be better of starting all over again so I can get re-adjusted to the battle-system etc...

Not sure if I wanna put that much effort in it again.

Ow yeah, managed to play a couple of battlefield 2 games online (my disk/or xbox keeps crapping out on me during the loading screen), and managed to get a score of 29 being a sniper, killing 19 people and not dying ONCE. So that was a very good game.

I read that there's a new BF game out in march for the 360, but cant find much info online about it yet...
If and when I do decide to get a 360, and the game is getting good reviews, I'll probably pick it up.

Play the planets in order, ie: Tatooine, Kashyyyk then Manaan
Along the way you will power up, also in Dantooine make sure you go to the crystal cave so you can get better crystals for the lightsaber. They will help you out. Its a great game, I'm normally not into RPG but this is changing my mind

Ow crap... I think I'm in Manaan now. But I do believe I've already been to Tatooine (it's where the Jedi-base is, right? And a bunch of outfields with cows?)
I'll see if I can get back to it this week and I'll follow your advice about doing them in order... :)

The jedi are on Dantooine :), make sure you go to the crystal cave, as collecting emerald will help you out...
Give it another go Yi, you may be hooked on it ;)

For Light side Jedi the best combination is probably a Scout+Sentinel. That way you get a good combination of raw physical power and ability points. When first creating a character, always distribute the points yourself. Auto assigning is not recommended. Soldiers and Guardians suck hard.

Play as a male character for far more conversation branches with that bitch Bastilla.

Strength = your proficiency with Melee weapons - Swords and Lightsabres. You want to have a high strength for all your Jedis (except Jolee) and the Wookie.
Dexerity = your proficiency with ranged weapons - blasters. Carth, HK-47 and Mission should have high dexterity.

Canderous makes for a good ranged or melee fighter, pick your poison.

Wisdom = You want a high wisdom if you want to focus mainly on force powers. Higher the wisdom, the higher your force reverses.

Charisma = persuasion abilities. High Charisma is highly recommend for the light side path.

Vitality = The more the vitality points, the larger your heath.

You need high Repair skills you want to unleash all of HK's forgotten enhancements.

Just because you aim for a powerful force wielder, doesn't mean they can't be good at sabre combat too. Scout+Consular with high Strength and wisdom is fantastic for when playing on the Dark side path. Be sure to do all the tomb dungeons on the Sith planet and collect the powerful Sith artefacts.

Dual sabre wielding is highly recommended. Twice the number of sabre crystals. Get all the dual wielding feats and use a short-blade sabre in the forehand to lessen the roll penalty significantly.

Once you have mastered the d20 system you can easily adapt to any other game that uses it, eg any game that uses D&D3+ rules like Neverwinter Nights.

Just becuz you've played as a Light side character for most of the game doesn't mean that you can't get the Dark side ending and vice versa.

Remember when in a "Fistful of Dollars" scenario to play both sides against each other like how Tsubaki Sanjuro or The Man With No Name would. Do the missions for all sides and reap the goodies and dosh.

Cheers Eva for the posting. I'm a guardian, and just completed the game now. With Darth Malak, in the beginning he seems hard to beat, but then i found something. I use the lightsaber throw and he can't seem to defend it, so i started running around in circles, when he gets his lightsaber, then use the throw and it works. Really cool game this is. Will def try dark side, but now want to play KOTOR 2 instead. The music is great, especially with Bastille when you fight her. Also managed to involve a romance subplot :D
