What are the specs like?
I'd love the Dollars films on BD
I could sell my German LE Wood Box then (maybe).

Oh. I've been thinking about getting this. Have you seen it? It looks very good. Please post your thoughts and on the AV too. How much and from where?

Nope I haven't seen it, it just looks somewhat appealing
HMV.com for £15.29 + Quidco. They dispatched it today as well which is cool since it's not due out till the 28th.
Here's a review if you were unaware: http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content/id/71 ... 9pris.html

Re: What Have You Just Received?
BTW, I had a look at Kung Fu Panda BD and it looks very good - you can even see the fur on Po's body, and things like that.
Switching on "24p smooth film" on the TV as well as 24p output on the BD (?) gives the image a more fluid feel, you feel less like your just watching a TV screen I think

Re: What have you just ordered?
Just ordered a bunch of graphic novels/books from amazon:
- Batman; Heart of Hush.
- Samurai (french graphic novel)
- Ythaq (french graphic novel)
- Wizard of Oz HD (graphic novel)
- DC's guide to digitally drawing comics.
Also wanted to try out some Daredevil books, but I have no idea where to start, plus some omnibusses are out of print etc etc, so I guess I'd be better of just waiting for Marvel to rerelease the best books.

Re: What Have You Just Received?
Just received my PC back from repairs (again)
First impressions are OK (although they haven't merged the 2 HDD's), but wouldn't be surprised if I would find some other stuff they fucked up.
Ow, also received Edge magazine. One of the last issues of my subscription, and it won't be renewed: what a shite magazine.

Re: What Have You Just Received?
Is it two hard drives or two partitions? If it's two hard drives, it's not possible. If it's two partitions (one hard drive), you need:
Acronis Disk Director
And you can do it yourself. Versions 10 and above are Vista compatible. This will you to turn two partitions into one, without any data loss. It's a great program. Symantec Partition Magic hasn't been updated in years and isn't Vista compatible, talking from experience.

I've been meaning to get that. Where from? Does it have a decent picture?gasteropod wrote:

Re: What Have You Just Received?
It's two 500GB hdd's, and I don't see how it wouldn't be possible, cause when I bought the PC, that's exactly what they did: they 'merged' those 2 HDD's into 1 big 900GB partition, and kept a bunch of Gb's (20-25 or something) as the D-partition, for Windows-files or whatever.
Not sure if I want it merged btw. Maybe it's better to justkeep the 2 HDD's seperate. It just surprised me that it wasnt configured as before.

I got it from HMV.com for like £7-8. The picture's clearly HD but the compression's not great.bradavon wrote:I've been meaning to get that. Where from? Does it have a decent picture?

Re: What Have You Just Received?
Are you sure they didn't change the hard drives and it was two physical hard drives before? As it's not possible to display two disks as one C drive etc... They're two different physical drives.Yi-Long wrote:It's two 500GB hdd's, and I don't see how it wouldn't be possible, cause when I bought the PC, that's exactly what they did: they 'merged' those 2 HDD's into 1 big 900GB partition, and kept a bunch of Gb's (20-25 or something) as the D-partition, for Windows-files or whatever.
