Jackiechanfan was banned, prolly by one armed boxer. I saw at least in 2 cases OAB had arrogant attitude against jcf without reason in that topic.

I doubt One Armed Boxer banned him, at least without a good reason. And I'm sure it's safe to ask him if you're wondering about it.

I asked One-Armed Boxer, and yes, jackiechanfan was banned. He was giving multiple warnings for posting endless video link threads and starting tons of nonsense topics like "dolphins rape humans" which the moderators spent all their time deleting for the past 2 months. Most of us probably never saw that stuff because the moderators had to delete half of what he posted. He was eventually banned after this had gone on for several months and he had received several warnings, all of which he ignored.

Sounds quite reasonable to me, and I have no reason to doubt One-Armed Boxer's word. It's not like he was kicked out all of a sudden without allowing to explain himself or given a change to improve his behaviour.

Yes, sounds very reasonable. I never saw those topics either but he definitely then deserved to be kicked out.

Same here. It was having intermittent problems for a few days before this issue, but it has been completely inaccessible for two days now. That cuts my reading for the day.

Some of you may be aware that the forum has been down for the last week. I have spoken with Mark Pollard and the word is not good. Mark has decided to permanently shut down kungfucinema.com due to a personal crisis. He did not provide any specifics, so I cannot answer questions you might have.

I left Mark a detailed message expressing our concern and best wishes. I told him that matters of a website are trivial when dealing with real world issues and I completely understood his need to focus on more important matters. I asked him if, at some point when things normalize, he would be willing to discuss the possibility of retrieving the forum threads so we might continue on.

Undoubtedly there will be hundreds if not thousands of fans that will be sadden to see the site go but hopefully we might be able to preserve a part of it. KFC has been our home for the last 8 years and its very disheartening to see such a great site disappear.

A few years back, I created a backup forum on Yuku (formerly ezboard where the forum had its home from 2002-07) just in case an event like this would occur. I am currently sending out over 1000 emails to current and former forum members to ask them to join us at our new home. Unfortunately I last updated this list in Feb 2014, so I don’t have emails for any new members after that. Hopefully others will spread the word and help get these newer members to return.

If you don’t have a Yuku account, its free to join. If by some miracle, Mark has a change of heart or a group of us can somehow resurrect the site, we will certainly return to KFC in the future. For now, we look forward to seeing you at our new location.

sorry to be harsh and i may have the wrong end of the stick but why would Mark's first thought when having a personal crisis is to shut down the site?

When you have a popular site such as that it would make more sense to find another owner than to shut it down which affects lots of people.

Sorry to hear that he's having some personal problems. Regardless of whether or not the site comes back (though I hope it does), I wish him well.
