Well many of the images doing the rounds for Predator are totally fake anyway, go to reliable places, not the Wax for a joke places.

Why would they be fake? Thats supposed to be a BD screencap (I'm guessing).

Why? becuase some people are morons who like to mess with caps and get attention on forums, many are well known for it, and they are not "Screen Caps" in the end, a screen cap is an accurate representation of the disc, a tiny little low quality Jpeg messed with in photoshop in an agenda to show faults up worse than they are is not a screencap.
Mind you I am not saying Predator is not like that, but it is known many do it for attention and to make a point. The new Predator does look like shit (makes me puke), but I am sure a few tossers will be doing things to some caps on some forums to make it look worse than it is, all they do is stop people believeing some forums more accurte information. In the end some people just love to make stuff up about discs to make people get on their high horses and complain for HD justice

I've tracked down more captures from that thread and whilst the DNR + Capture boosting in all of them is really OTT, only the Red T-Shirt Arnie capture it looks hideous. Remember the old BD has many problems too (although clearly it's the better of two evils). I'll wait for a comparison review but am thinking right now, I'll stick with my DVD.

When the film gets a quality release, wake me up. Both Blu Rays out at the moment suck, I am keeping my DVD until someone grows some balls and works with care on the film and makes it look good as it should. As it is obvious they dont care one bit about how it looks at the moment. To call it HD, well no wonder Blu Rays are not catching on to the public with pointless releases like this.

Mind you the public do not care, most normal people I know watched Predator in HD on TV (film 4 I think) a while back and said it looked amazing, it didnt but hey they thought it did, so what do I know.

what a lucky day, found a copy of United Red Army at Yodobashi Camera. These suckers are oop going for 10 000+ yen at Amazon

FilmFour don't have an HD channel, unless I'm mistaken.

It definitely looks better, before the so called re-master and some reviews say it looks better than the DVD too. The DVD Beaver comparison (comparing the DVD to original BD) clearly shows an improvement (although the captures are very small), for what it's worth.
