Is The Origin of Ip Man different to the Ip Man movie with Donnie?

Ip Man is played by a younger and unknown actor. Yuen Biao and Sammo play his teachers I think. I've only seen the first 5-10 minutes last night, cause we fell asleep... :)

Supposedly it's a nice kung fu movie and a worthy prequel...

DVD-sleeve says it's anamorphic widescreen and has the original cantonese 2.0 ...
It's the new Fortune Star release...

There's a new fortune star release! Any links? Any other new titles? What about Tiger Cage and Tiger Cage 3? I've never seen them but hear they're good. Up until now all releases were shit.

I've found this: http://adg.invisionzone.com/index.php?s ... st&p=36117. It just says DTS/DD5.1 not 2.0. I guess it has all three.

My girl brought the dvd's from HK, but I'm guessing dddhouse.com will absolutely have them.
All 3 TC movies have gotten a proper release now, but I was only interested in pt. 2 :)

And if you bothered to read a bit further, you'd know part 1&2 have been conformed to have original mono tracks ;)

According to the sleeve there are 3 canto-tracks (5.1, DTS and 2.0), as well as a mandarin track :)

The point was that all Joy Sales releases state "original cantonese", although in 90% of cases its false and there is no original cantonese on the disc. The Tiger Cage movies are among the rare exceptions.

You know I don't care about these sorts of specifics as much as you guys. Especially when the only English friendly alternative is a non-anamorphic + 5.1 only release.

Found a new poster shop at Nakano Broadway. Exclusively good stuff: 1960's and 1970's Chiba, yakuza, pinky violence, sci-fi, samurai... could only afford two originals

Bloodstained Clan Honour (Kinji Fukasaku, Bunta Sugawara, Koji Tsuruta, Tatsuo Umemiya...)

The Executioner II: Karate Inferno (Teruo Ishii, Sonny Chiba, Etsuko Shihomi)

Okinawa Yakuza sensou (1976). You may have heard of this one. It's a yakuza film where Sonny Chiba plays the bad guy, a karate maniac yakuza. You know, The Street Fighter (1974) was born when Chiba took his yakuza villain characters and turned them into a karate (anti)hero. Okinawa Yakuza sensou's character was born when he took The Street Fighter and made it a true villain.

Nice and personal :) I always hoped she would do more and be bigger after X Men 2, sadly she just went smaller.

I was just doing my check for Kellys latest film I have looked forward for sooo long

Still shafted for a UK release in cinemas :( so Blu Ray calls me now I think.

Nice, lucky you. Personalised too. Love that she's added a bit of zing to it by using Aloha. Which convention?

Something called Insurgence, meant to be a Vampire Diaries/Smallville convention, she got ripped off as the two main stars of the vampire show (haven't a clue who they are but apparently to young females they are hot) pulled out at the last minute. Lex from Smallville was there, she got her picture taken with him and with Kelly.
